West Fargo Packers (2-1)

The West Fargo Packers are one of the most talent filled rosters in the state. Their roster features everything you’re looking for, with a variety of different prospects to like and for college programs to covet. The Packers' rotation includes a top-end 2023 6’1 post, a highly ranked do-it-all wing, another 6’0 prospect that is a rebounding machine, a pure point guard, an X-factor that is committed to NAIA Valley City State, and a 2024 guard that is getting playing time and producing.

[player_tooltip player_id="215744" first="Miriley" last="Simon"] - (6’1/PF-C/2023) - A rare, true post with size and strength, Miriley is starting to take stride and breakout as a prospect. She is a force inside because she is stronger than everyone else. She rips boards away from opponents and is a great finisher as well. Commands help and backside defense all game. She opened up the season with a 18 point and 12 rebound game. In the Fargo Davies matchup she contributed 16 points and 15 rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id="211403" first="Chloe" last="Pfau"] - (5’11/SG-SF/2023) - 12.0 ppg. - 8.7 rpg. - 3.7 stls. - It’s tough to find many negatives about Chloe’s game. She’s a top-notch prospect because of her lack of weaknesses and steadiness. She scores, rebounds, plays D, can shoot the three, etc. Overall, a steady playmaker that fills the stat sheet. Always seems to find the open cutters and makes the right pass. She’s a threat from three and going off-the-dribble. Doesn’t seem lightning quick but she seems to get by the defense consistently.

[player_tooltip player_id="198134" first="Ashlyn" last="Diemert"] - (5’9/SG/2021) - 12.0 ppg. - 4.7 rpg. - 3.3 apg. - 1.7 stls. - Ashlyn is a strong, tough guard with an extremely high basketball IQ — by the way she plays the game. She makes a variety of positive plays throughout the course of a game. Her up-court passing on a dime really stands out. She will also take it at the defense in a straight line until she is stopped. Can handle the ball continuously on her own and relieve pressure. Ashlyn will be attending Valley City State and will be participating in both basketball and softball.

[player_tooltip player_id="98741" first="Brynn" last="Giesen"] - (5’7/PG/2021) - 8.0 ppg. - 5.3 apg. - 4.0 stls. - As steady as a point guard you’ll find. Can handle the ball with both hands. She doesn’t let the defense bother her or speed her up when handling the ball. Easily creates space to run the offense and find teammates. Comes off a double ball-screen and makes great decisions off the screens. Has an accurate three-point shot that she isn’t afraid to take. Exceptional on-ball defender and quickness, creating havoc for the ball-handler.

[player_tooltip player_id="213399" first="Brylie" last="Peterson"] - (5’6/CG/2024) - 10.7 ppg. - 4.3 rpg. - 2.7 stls. - Brylie is a lefty that is starting to become a PGH favorite and her stock is trending upwards. As a Freshman, she is firmly entered into the West Fargo rotation. She can play both the point and a wing spot. In extended action against Fargo North, Brylie produced this stat line: 21 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals. More drive-first player because she’s highly effective doing so. She’s only made one three on the year.

[player_tooltip player_id="207394" first="Jessica" last="Walsvik"] - (6’0/PF-C/2022) - 8.0 ppg. - 10.3 rpg. - 3.3 stls. - 1.3 blks. - Jessica is a rebounding machine. She will jump up and high point the ball at the top to snag her rebounds. Has good touch around the rim and can finish her opportunities. Also, a soft touch from mid-range, making her an efficient offensive player. Had a sequence where she got a steal and went full court with the ball into a pull-up mid-ranger and sank it. Her statistical categories would be better but now has two games without full minutes. Pulled down 15 rebounds against West Fargo Sheyenne. Jessica’s stock is on the rise in a big way.

[player_tooltip player_id="240176" first="Taylor" last="Van Winkle"] - (5’10/SG/2023) - Taylor is an important bench piece for West Fargo. The team doesn’t miss a beat with her in there and she’ll make the play when the play arises. She can take care of the ball and hit open jumpers. A great team defender and individual defender. A smart and tactical approach to her defense. Against Fargo North, Taylor had 10 points, 4 assists, and 7 steals.
Uchechukwu Eyimegwu - (6’3/C/2022) - Hasn’t had many playing time opportunities this season but she is still an extremely long 6’3. So worth mentioning, but has some major development yet, as she’s fairly weak and it affects her. [player_tooltip player_id="240482" first="Joslyn" last="Jackson"] - (5’7/SG/2023) - Entered the West Fargo Sheyenne game with about 10 minutes left in the game. Swished a three about one minute later. Haven't seen a lot of her on the court but is someone to definitely monitor.
