With todays climate in the world today, these are some girls we believe will be studs for their programs this season if it happens. We watched most of them play last year before the pandemic and we were impressed with their talents on the floor. So check out the evaluations on these kids and have a good time reading. Thanks for the support of the PGHCalifornia page. 2022, 6’0, SF, JSerra HS, [player_tooltip player_id="103345" first="Hailey" last="Johnson"] So I have now watched Johnson play this spring and summer and she is improving and we like the progress. She is developing her three point shot and making the transition to a wing/forward that will help her expand her game. She is capable of putting the ball on the floor from the freethrow line and can mix it up in the paint with some good moves down low. She is a decent defender and has the foot speed to stay in front of her opponent. 2022, 5’8, SF, Sage Hill HS, [player_tooltip player_id="103349" first="Isabel" last="Gomez"] Isabel is one of the leaders on this team and she showed it the few times we watched this team this season. They lost a few to Crean Lutheran, but they made the most of it. She has good size for a guard/forward and showed us some skill set as well as being a decent defender. She is gonna be one to watch this season if it happens, but we are excited to watch the growth of her game whenever she steps back onto the court. 2022, 5’10, PG, Mayfair HS, [player_tooltip player_id="103352" first="Mariah" last="Overby"] Overby has good size for a wing. She’s very strong too and can finish at the rim with through contact. She’s really comfortable with the basketball in her hands. She can attack defenders off the dribble and get to the rim, or she can stop and hit a little pull-up jumper. Has range out to the three-point line. Solid player in transition. Pretty good catch and shoot player too. Has a pretty advanced offensive package. 2022, 5’7, PG, Flintridge Prep HS, [player_tooltip player_id="204040" first="Ashlyn" last="Zhang"] Ashlyn is developing into the prototypical point guard with a solid skill set and a will and drive to win games. She can pass the ball, shoots it well and is very well versed at handling the ball on the floor. She is aggressive on the attack, can get to the basket and finish thru contact and is not afraid of anyone on the floor. Shoots the three pointer with consistency and can score from all three levels on the floor. Getting better each and every game.... 2022, 6’3, C, Junipero Serra HS, [player_tooltip player_id="162831" first="Ava" last="Carter"] Ava surprised us with her play when we first saw her, we did not know who she was and we believed she was a senior because she was so mature looking. We watched her make shots, block shots and also run and up down the floor well for her size, it only added value to her stock to find out she was young. We believe she will be a major player in the Trinity League next year and beyond, a true find for a young developing center.
