Physicality is a very necessary component and part of the game of basketball as it is very much needed both on defense and offense. The ability to not only use your body but also know how to use it is a gift that is gritty that not all players have. We take a look at some of the more physical players from the many sessions in Arizona. [player_tooltip player_id="158524" first="Lindsey" last="Wilson"] is a traditional blend of forward who takes commanding space in the paint as a scorer and defender. [player_tooltip player_id="204588" first="Alexa" last="Borter"] and [player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"] are two players under the Clutch Players umbrella who each bring unique individual talents but they are brought together not only by their last name but ability to bring toughness to their respective teams. [player_tooltip player_id="158545" first="Rhyan" last="Mogel"] has upped her game within the last few months, all bolstered by her physicality and ability to use it as a catalyst for NW Stars Navy. [player_tooltip player_id="211120" first="Olivia" last="Poulvaati"] is a forward with tremendous upside as a rebounder, scorer, and overall savvy player for NW Stars White.
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158525" first="Sage" last="Kramer"] 2022 6’0" PF Oregon Elite Navy/Philomath HS</strong> - Sage is a work horse for Oregon Elite Navy as she brings a lot of physicality and makes plays based on effort and merit. She gets a lot of offensive rebounds based on sixth sense and ability to time plays according to her internal time clock. A refined and established defender who isn’t afraid of rolling up her sleeves and getting to work.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158524" first="Lindsey" last="Wilson"] 2022 6’0" PF Oregon Elite Gold/Mountainside HS</strong> - the Mountainside forward brings a lot of resilience and toughness for Oregon Elite Gold - on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she likes to gain positioning in the paint until a favorable position - showing quite a bit of poise and patience as a scorer. Defensively, she stays stationary in her stance as she has a solid frame and even takes some charges from time to time. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="204588" first="Alexa" last="Borter"] 2021 6’0" SF Clutch Cardinal/Beaverton HS</strong> - Alexa’s father played as a lineman for Oregon State during the mid-90s and it certainly shows as she is quite the athlete on the hardwood. She shows the ability to get physically down-low defensively and can score in the paint with aggressiveness and precision. An all-around savvy player who is quick enough to play alongside the perimeter but tough enough to bring it inside the paint. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"] 2023 6’0" SG Clutch Rose/Beaverton HS</strong> - Zoe is another Borter who has all the physical tools and markings of a great basketball player and it revolves around her fierceness and fearlessness out on the floor. At 6’0" she has a great frame and wingspan as it is truly bolstered by her ability to make plays based on sheer will. She gets to the basket with a quick first step and can absorb contact and is a formidable defender as well. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158545" first="Rhyan" last="Mogel"] 2023 5’11" SF NW Stars Navy/Clackamas HS</strong> - the versatile wing for NW Stars Navy plays with tremendous energy and effort out on the floor, as she serves as primary component of success for her club - on both ends of the floor. Defensively, she uses her length and quickness as a player who plays 94 feet of the floor and isn’t afraid to get gritty. Offensively, she gets to the rim and absorbs contact very well as she has a solid frame.</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="211120" first="Olivia" last="Poulvaati"] 2023 5’11" PF NW Stars White/Tualatin HS</strong> - the first thing that stands out about Poulvaati is her solid frame which is matched by her athletic prowess on the court. She knows how to box out and collects rebounds at at outstanding rate. Poulvaati is both suave and fierce the paint - a rare blend of forward. She is also adept at passing and makes her teammates and team better when she is on the floor. </span>
