The word "delay" has become a no-no in my house. The season keeps getting pushed back in Michigan, and understandably, players and coaches are frustrated. Scouts are pulling their hair out too. I miss the gym. I miss seeing kids make and secure their futures. I miss seeing epic performances that young women will never forget. Let’s take a look at 5 juniors that I miss watching play due to all of the delays.

I feel cheated. After the way she blew up during grassroots season, I was so excited to see her play with her talented Grass Lake squad. Bargesser was absolutely dominating as a point guard in all facets of the game. I feel like we should still be watching her rise up national recruiting boards
[player_tooltip player_id="147738" first="Evie" last="Doezema"] (2022, C, Grand Rapids Christian)
I’d heard good things about her game prior to last season, but I feel like she took a huge step last year. She was, in my opinion, one of the best rebounders in the state. Doezema went aggressively to the ball off the rim and seemed like a ball magnet at times.
[player_tooltip player_id="179087" first="Adelaide" last="Douglass"] (2022, C, Mattawan)
I was really looking forward to watching her play during high school season. Douglass is a high ceiling true power post player that showed a lot of value as a prospect. It felt like at the end of grassroots season, her game was ready to go up a notch and I was looking forward to seeing it.
[player_tooltip player_id="147771" first="Karianna" last="Woods"] (2022, CG, Arbor Prep)
Arbor Prep is in my neck of the woods, so I made a note to go see Woods and her Arbor Prep teammates. I feel like Woods is a bit underrated. She’s fantastic with the ball in her hands and has some flare to her ball handling. Woods is a dynamic guard that can make plays.
[player_tooltip player_id="147722" first="Jordan" last="Wright"] (2022, PG, Ann Arbor Huron)
I even told Jordan at the Top 250 that I was going to see her play a lot this season. She is such a skilled floor general. Wright can play a pass first or a score first style. She has a nice post entry pass especially on the right side of the floor.
