Madison Penn-G 5’6 sophomore (Lutheran North)
Penn has been in front of me a few times, one thing I like about her is her consistency and ability to do things in the flow. She has the unique ability to find ways to contribute without scoring or better yet, she can make things happen that might not necessarily appear on stat sheets like hustling for loose balls, setting picks, and making the pass that leads to the pass for an assist but she does understand how to create her shot and she can score, from mid to long-range, in fact, the picture above shows her dropping the three
Lagina Mayo-G (International Leadership School of Texas)
Small guards get the hashtag #sizedontmatter and I amended that a few years later to “if they can play” and Mayo showed plenty of upside primarily because of her athleticism and energy on both ends of the court. She understands how to create her shot from the outside as well as attack the basket plus she played solid defense
Aaliyah Quinn-G (International Leadership School of Texas)
Quinn also grabbed that #sizedontmatter hashtag and she was just everywhere creating havoc on defense. She battled for the loose balls, even diving and playing the passing lane but she showed she could handle the ball in the open court as well as see the floor
Isabella Francis-G (International Leadership School of Texas)
Francis was like a sponge as she listened to everything her coach told her and implemented it on the court, She played defense, she understood positioning for rebounds, she also showed she could handle the ball under pressure and create her shot or attack the basket
Sierra Collins-G (International Leadership School of Texas)
Collins used her athleticism nicely, she brought energy and defense plus she rebounded and battled for loose balls, good upside
Ayomide Titilayamb-F (International Leadership School of Texas)
Titilayamb also was athletic, inside the paint she was active on the boards, moved her feet nicely on defense, and showed she could alter shots with good timing
Shunteria Davis-5’9 G (Lutheran North) freshman
Davis made her first high school appearance in front of me, she’s a transfer that has been in a few showcases I covered yet I saw a different side to her game and one thing that definitely stood out is that she understands how to get to the basket. She finishes strong and acrobatically, she showed she could hit the mid to long-range but she rebounds on both ends, and on the defensive end she went coast to coast several times on her way to a 30 plus game
