Just days before the opening of the New Jersey high school basketball season the state was dealt major news. Blair Academy guard and Notre Dame commit [player_tooltip player_id="134606" first="Olivia" last="Miles"] has decided to enroll at the University early. Miles will be able to join the Fighting Irish program once she passes all Covid-19 protocols.
Last year Miles led Blair Academy to a Prep A State Championship, averaging 13.6 points, 8.1 rebounds and 7.6 assists as a junior. Notre Dame has a top five nationally ranked recruiting class due to the additions of [player_tooltip player_id="134606" first="Olivia" last="Miles"] (#2 in the 2021 class) and point guard Sonia Citron out of New York (#19 in the 2021 class).
Blair Academy will now turn to the services of [player_tooltip player_id="134608" first="Dom" last="Darius"] (#25 in the 2021 class), a UCLA commit, to lead the team. If all things go smoothly [player_tooltip player_id="134606" first="Olivia" last="Miles"] can begin practicing with Notre Dame after one week of quarantining and negative Covid-19 tests. This puts her on schedule to begin practicing January 25 with her first game potentially coming against Syracuse University on January 31.
