New Jersey’s Top 40 Rankings Regardless Of Class (Players 36-40)

With the start of the abbreviated girls basketball season just a couple of weeks away, we decided to rank New Jersey’s best players. Normally, player rankings are done by class. For the purpose of this eight-part series, we grouped everyone together. Let’s debate! <strong>36. (tie) </strong><strong>Bukky Akinsola, Montclair Immaculate:</strong> Akinsola saved her best performance for last. She lit Morris Catholic up for 21 points to help Montclair Immaculate reach the North Jersey, Non-Public B finals for the first time last season. <strong>36. (tie) [player_tooltip player_id="134642" first="Veyoni" last="Davis"], Moorestown Friends</strong>: Simply put, the shooting guard is a scoring machine. She can pull up, take you off the dribble or splash the trifecta. How good is she? Ask Trenton Catholic, who she torched for 25 points in the state playoffs last season. <strong style="font-size: 1rem;">37. [player_tooltip player_id="159447" first="Laila" last="Fair"], Stuart Day:</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> The 6-3 wing led Stuart Day to an 18-4 record and a third straight Prep B title. Thanks to her athleticism and length, she is a key part of the Stuart Day defense - excelling at rebounding and blocking shots.</span> <strong style="font-size: 1rem;">38. <strong>Kyierah </strong>Dempsey-Toney, Franklin:</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> The 6-1 forward can finish in traffic with her left and right hand. She has great footwork, runs the floor hard and competes on the defensive end of the floor. She will be the face of the Franklin program this season.</span> <strong style="font-size: 1rem;">39. Kylie Favours, Rutgers Prep:</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> Although her stats don’t blow you away, Favours’ impact in games is huge for Rutgers Prep. She is one of the best deep-ball shooters in the state and an above-average defender. She is a Lafayette commit.</span> <strong style="font-size: 1rem;">40. [player_tooltip player_id="134634" first="Eniya" last="Scott"], Bayonne:</strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> Despite being undersized, Scott often makes the biggest impact on the court. She picks up opposing point guards 94 feet, sets her teammates up for easy scoring opportunities and knows when to go get herself a bucket.</span>
