These girls are so prolific on offense that they could beat or their teams could beat most teams shooting exclusively layups and free throws.  When they catch fire from distance, it becomes damage control for the opposition  What has become an unpredictable basketball season dealing with COVID, these ladies are balling and need to be recognized for doing just that,  Girls basketball in Northwest GA is on fire. <strong>2021 - Anne Marie Plant - 5’5 - Unity Christian</strong> In her last game, look at these stats:  10 points, 11 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, and 3 steals. Anne has been the captain of the basketball team for the past two seasons.  She is a leader and motivator both on and off the court.  She is extremely tough and she has a great consistent work ethic.  She plays a little bit of every position and is confident and efficient from the outside or inside.  Each basketball season Annie has improved in unmeasurable amounts, she is far from her peak potential. Educational Information:  GPA: 3.2 and ACT score: 20 Game average stats: PPG: 7.6, RPG: 5.0, APG: 3.0 <strong>2022 - Haley Johnson - Cass</strong> This junior is having a great season, just look at this stat line:  23 points, 10 rebounds, 9 assists, and 5 steals. When the game is tight, she steps up with poise and pinpoint shooting.  She continues her strong play on a consistent basis. Just follow the basketball and she is usually in the middle of the action, she is a tough competitor and loves the game of basketball. <strong>2023 - Bekah Wisener - 5’8 - Unity Christian</strong> Bekah is very skilled and works year-round on her game.  She has excellent ball-handling skills and court vision.  She is the starting point guard but can go down low and make post moves when she outsizes her opponents. Game average stats:  PPG: 8.0, RPG: 4.0, BPG: 1.3, APG: 2.3 2021 - [player_tooltip player_id="118123" first="Keyarah" last="Berry"] - Rockmart This University of Indiana signee requires a double team in the majority of her games.  The strategy is not to shut her down, conceding that would be an impossible task. Instead, teams look to make her work hard enough for her points and by the fourth quarter, she might be worn out.  Look at these stats by the end of the game. Berry usually has 30-35 points and takes over games when necessary.  Berry is having a great senior season. <strong>2024 - Emily King - 5’3 - Unity Christian</strong> Emily currently comes off the bench as a backup point guard.  Her potential is endless.  She is an incredible athlete.  It is like she never gets tired in a game.  As a freshman, she is already a leader, and others looks up to her. Game average stats:  PPG: 7.2, RPG: 5.3, APG: 2.0, SPG: 3.1, 3P%: 32% <strong>2021 - Londaisha Smith - Cass</strong> Londaisha eclipsed the 1,000 career point total this year.  Regarded as the best defensive player Coach Jackson has ever coached.  Smith is making a case for an even higher honor.  "Possibly the best player I have ever had, and that’s saying something," Jackson said of Smith.  Smith loves the game and plays year-round. Londaisha is the team captain and never takes a practice off.  She produces a double-double on a nightly basis.
