If I have labeled a player as #D1Lock, well if I have said it, it will happen, it doesn’t take long for me to actually know what I’m looking at so I don’t have to see it over and over so providing I have the necessary information, also known as a roster, I’ll search for that hidden gem in the gym and guess what, here are some from the 2025 class
Julia Barajas (San Antonio Aces)
Barajas attacks the rim from every angle imaginable and she attacks hard and finishes strongly, this includes after contact but she also understands how to create contact while attacking the rim, which’s big at this stage of her game and will give her countless “and one” opportunities
Kirsten Hartmann (San Antonio Aces)
Hartman creates her shot and showed she could take defenders with ease, She plays under control, she’s heady and she also saw the floor nicely. Her jumper is smooth, she knocks down the outside shot and also follows her shot
Montay Davis (Drive Nation Oklahoma)
Davis explodes off the dribble, under pressure and showed very good body control after attacking the basket and finished with contact. She also creates her shot and knocked down the midrange, on the flip she brought defensively
Autumn Sherman (Pro Skills Elite)
Sherman falls into the #sizedontmatter category but she also showed she could play and her handling the ball under pressure as well as seeing the floor, also under pressure definitely caught my eye. She plays hard, she understands how to run a team, and has good upside
Laila Coleman (NTX Elite 2025)
Coleman is athletic and the defensive pressure she applied every time I watched her games just stood out. She applies “on ball” pressure, she plays the passing lane but she also understands how to create her shot off the dribble and attacked the basket strongly, and finished the same way
Adriana Robles (Lady Drive Nation Topping Black)
Robles had me take a second look at the pictures I took, I’m a visual person and this was the last session I watched yet she’s visual as well as she showed she could see the floor nicely while throwing passes on the money. She handles the ball well, she’s shifty in the open court and also creates her shot well, under pressure
Nakia Cenae Majica (New Mexico Zias 2025)
Majica is heady, she plays under control and the pressure doesn’t bother her, she showed that against one of the top teams in the event and always remember “it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against” so seeing the floor and running her team while controlling the tempo were all good signs
Kyndle Cunningham (New Mexico Zias 2025)
Cunningham mixed it up nicely, she showed she could create her shot, under pressure and take defenders off the dribble. She finishes after contact and did a good job on the boards but she also showed she could knock down the long ball
