Madison Borjas Madison Borjas 5'0" | PG Mcallen Memorial | 2025 TX (Lady Diamonds)
Borjas falls into that #sizedontmatter category I hashtagged a long time ago because she can play and she plays with so much energy that I called her one of the most exciting players in the event because she makes things happen. She creates her shot, in the set or off the dribble and her release is quick, from mid to long-range yet she has a way of being around the ball to make things happen on defense
Jakaila Lee (Power Basketball)
Lee is going to definitely do some damage in the Houston area when she enters high school because she’s going to come in as one of the top long ball shooters around here. She understands how to create her shot while being defended tightly, her first step and ballhandling enables her to get her shot off, which she elevates on and with the quick and accurate release, you see where this is going yet she can also see the floor and score attacking the basket
Ananda Jennerson (Pro Skills 2025 National)
Jennerson has always been smooth and poised, she understands something significant at this stage. how to control the tempo as well as getting her teammates involved yet her heady play in making those right decisions sometimes overshadow her scoring which she does smoothly and in the flow by either attacking the basket or showing a very nice pull-up jumper but throw in “she plays defense as well as the passing lane
Makiyah Rigby (NTX Elite 2025)
Rigby caught my eye a while back, in fact, I watched her sister star at Bryan high school in the early part of the century and I see that she too picked up some of those things big sister used to do like go hard and talk on the floor, both always fall into #THROWBACK for me, but she creates her shot nicely under pressure, elevates on the jumper and knocks the mid to long-range down as well as attacks the basket strongly
Tynia Minnit (Waco United 2025)
Minnit is smooth and under control, nothing fazes her as she handles the ball with ease under pressure and sees the floor but she also makes the pass going full speed she has good speed with the ball and this gives her options on whether to attack or dish. She also can score, her midrange is always consistent, she sets defenders up nicely and she can drop the long ball
Adyline Hybil (Lady Lions 2025)
Hybil went completely off at the Winter Jam in Oklahoma yet her barrage of threes were missed by me, I did catch bits and pieces of her shooting yet this time around, I saw everything and she can definitely score from BTA but it’s the way she does it. She doesn’t force shots, she takes defenders left or right to create it but she mixes it up to score off the dribble. She also showed she could “catch and shoot” from deep with accuracy
Gavyn Robinson (Lady Jets Adidas Elite 2025)
Robinson is another player that made one of my Tip Sheets in elementary school so I was excited to see her on the court and she has gotten taller, yet the speed, this includes handling the ball still stands out and seeing her push the ball going coast to coast and hitting teammates going full speed was one of the best at the event. She also can attack and finish after contact and can knock down the mid to long-range jumper
