The three-point line has turned into one of the most important things on the basketball court. These players from the NJAC have mastered the skill and will continue to dominate in the upcoming season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="155444" first="Brynn" last="McCurry"] (2023) | Sparta</strong>
Sparta has a big three in the Class of 2023 and they can shoot from three. They are led by McCurry, who finished with a team-high 47 makes from three-point range as a freshman. [player_tooltip player_id="155447" first="Ally" last="Sweeney"] is another big-time shooter from the perimeter. Sparta is a team that is set up well for the future.
<strong>Stephanie Hutnick (2021) | Wallkill Valley</strong>
Hutnick was one of the top shooters in the conference with 55 made three’s. The team knew how to get the ball in her hands and she knew how to get a shot off, even over larger defenders.
<strong>Tess Ford (2021) | Chatham</strong>
Chatham is losing a huge threat from deep in [player_tooltip player_id="156159" first="Maddie" last="Hartnett"]. This means there will be some more openings for Ford. She was second on the team with 49 made three’s a season ago and that number is expected to skyrocket this season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="159079" first="Grace" last="Kowalski"] (2023) | Montville</strong>
Montville is a team full of star power that won 27 games a season ago. Kowalski was a big part of the offense leading the team with 38 made three’s. This was the output in her first season and the number will continue to grow.
<strong>Tiffani Szkarlatiuk (2022) | North Warren</strong>
As a sophomore, Szarlatiuk took the next step on the offensive end and it began from long range. She was one of the top shooters on a talented North Warren team with 32 makes from deep and was an elite foul shooter.
<strong>Deanna Torsiello (2021) | Jefferson</strong>
Torsiello balanced the offense along the perimeter for Jefferson. She knew how to find an open spot on the floor and use her quick release to gain an advantage. This led to 48 makes from three-point range.
<strong>Shea Baggett (2021) | Madison</strong>
Madison is in for another big season as they are returning their five leading scorers from the 2019-2020 season. This includes Baggett, who led the way from deep last season. She is a talented shooter who can fill it up from the perimeter or get to the rim.
<strong>Angeleen Mulero (2021) | Randolph</strong>
Mulero is the leading scorer returning for Randolph this season. As a junior, she led the team in three’s and foul shots made. In her final season, she will have a chance to continue to build her reputation.
<strong>Kristyn Carroll (2022) | Kinnelon</strong>
Carroll balanced the team well on both ends. Kinnelon did not have much prowess from three-point range but Carroll made up for lost times. She was able to get comfortable in most games from beyond the arc.
