It was another action-packed day of basketball around the Garden State on Saturday. Let’s take a look at the winners from the games on Jan. 30.
<strong>Rylie Grant, Hackettstown:</strong> Grant put in a game-high 20 points in Hackettstown’s 51-17 win over Sussex Tech. Angelene Mattingly added 10 points. Riley Feichtl had a double-double of 10 points and 14 rebounds for Sussex Tech.
<strong>Livia Ramos, Ridgefield: </strong>Ramos netted 30 points to pace Ridgefield past New Milford, 55-29, on Saturday. She also had five rebounds, four steals and a block.
<strong>Franki Gomez, Hopewell Valley: </strong>Gomez scored 21 points and grabbed seven rebounds in Hopewell Valley’s 49-37 victory over Lawrence on Saturday.
<strong>Olivia Sims, Iselin Kennedy: </strong>Sims scored 12 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in Iselin Kennedy’s 52-51 loss to North Brunswick.
<strong>Bella Murray, Watchung Hills:</strong> Murray netted a game-high 27 points in a 68-52 win over Bridgewater-Raritan. She hit four 3-pointers and had four steals and four assists.
<strong>Catherine Pettegrove, Voorhees: </strong>Pettegrove finished with 21 points, 15 rebounds and two blocks in Voorhees’ 55-24 victory over Bernards on Saturday. Alina Staten added 11 points for the Vikings.
<strong>Akyia Baker, St. Thomas Aquinas: </strong>Baker finished with a game-high 24 points as St. Thomas Aquinas cruised past Piscataway, 69-29, on Saturday. Baker hit three 3-pointers in the win.
<strong>Carley Martin, Lyndhurst: </strong>Martin totaled 30 points in Lyndhurst’s 62-43 win over Elmwood Park.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="155550" first="Rachel" last="Capua"], Jackson Memorial: </strong>Capua finished with a game-high 25 points to go with seven rebounds and four steals in Jackson Memorial’s 77-41 victory over Brick Memorial on Saturday.
<strong>Nora Dornich, Belvidere: </strong>Dornich scored 24 points and made 12 free throws in Belvidere’s 53-38 victory over Manville.
<strong>Samantha Opilla, Wallkill Valley: </strong>Opilla put in 28 points as Wallkill Valley edged Lenape Valley, 50-48, on Saturday. Brienna Pangborn led the way for Wallkill Valley with 18 points and 13 rebounds.
<strong>Diamonique Williams, Shabazz: </strong>Williams put in 18 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in Shabazz’s 59-29 loss to Montclair.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="155450" first="Mattison" last="Chiera"]/Taylor Dercack, Colonia: </strong>Chiera finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds and Dercack totaled 10 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists and six steals in Colonia’s 73-40 win over Woodbridge.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="134611" first="Christina" last="Dalce"], Rutgers Prep: </strong>Dalce finished with a double-double of 13 points and 11 rebounds as Rutgers Prep dominated Montgomery, 83-19, Saturday, improving to 2-0 on the year.
<strong>Julia Pinckert, Immaculata: </strong>Pinckert finished with 27 points, eight rebounds, seven steals, five assists and a block in Immaculata’s 60-29 win over South Hunterdon on Saturday.
<strong>Chloe Vasquez, Pequannock: </strong>Vasquez had a double-double of 17 points and 16 rebounds in Pequannock’s 53-37 win over Boonton.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="134612" first="Alexa" last="Therien"], Cherokee: </strong>Therien put in 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in a double-double effort to lift Cherokee past Montclair Immaculate, 44-26, on Saturday. Cherokee improved to 3-0 with the win.
