The final position to rank in Washington’s 2021 class comes down to the centers of the post. Four centers in the senior class are currently headed for the Division 1 level at the conclusion of their senior year. A couple remain unsigned and one is committed to play at the Division 3 level.
<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>2021 Rankings: Top Centers</strong></span></h3>
1) 6’3 C [player_tooltip player_id="48039" first="Faith" last="Bergstrom"] out of Camas High School has steadily developed and earned her way to the top spot. Length, rebounding and soft touch around the hoop at 6’3 makes her the favorite. She is signed to Cal Poly.
2) 6’2 C [player_tooltip player_id="48014" first="Katie" last="Thiers"] from Roosevelt High School is a strong and physical post out of Seattle that rebounds and alter shots really well. She can finish with either hand and is a fundamentally sound player. Thiers signed to Princeton.
3) 6’2 [player_tooltip player_id="48012" first="Katie" last="Peneueta"] from Heritage High School in Southern Washington checks in at number three. The future student-athlete of Air Force is a strong, physical presence in the paint as a throwback post player. She sets hard screens and plays her role really well on the floor.
<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Top Unsigned Centers</strong></span></h3>
A pair of 6’4 Centers that are reportedly still uncommitted are looming in Washington’s 2021 class. 6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="82925" first="Sharayah" last="Johnson"] and 6’4 [player_tooltip player_id="82924" first="Charity" last="Hines"] are both big, strong and physical posts that can definitely provide size and post presence for a college program.
<h3><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Division 3 Commit</strong></span></h3>
6’3 C [player_tooltip player_id="48018" first="Samantha" last="Skaggs"] from King’s High School is headed to Division 3 Linfield College in Oregon. Skaggs is a steal for Linfield as a lefty post with good size, length and soft touch finishing in the paint.
