The small forward position in the state’s 2021 senior class is really solid across the board with five players slated to play at the Division 1 level in the 2021-2022 season. As expected, the top five in the rankings for the small forwards are those same five players headed to the D1 level.

Top 5 Senior Small Forwards

1) 5’11 SF [player_tooltip player_id="20229" first="Tamia" last="Stricklin"] (Seattle Prep) *Signed to Fresno State (Mountain West Conference)

The top wing in the state is headed off to Fresno State University after garnering several Division 1 offers. Stricklin is a lefty guard/wing that can play some 1-4 at the high school level. She is a three level scorer with some back to the basket game and she is also a strong rebounder that can push it herself.

2) 5’10 SF [player_tooltip player_id="85877" first="MJ" last="Bruno"] (Central Valley HS) *Signed to Portland (West Coast Conference)

One of the, if not the top defender in the state. Bruno has great wiry length and strength. She has also developed a solid outside shot to go along with her straight line driving ability. She will be an impact player over time at Portland thanks to all out hustle and work ethic.

3) 6’0 SF [player_tooltip player_id="82926" first="Jaydia" last="Martin"] (Hudson’s Bay HS) *Signed to Eastern Washington (Big Sky)

The biggest and strongest wing in the state. Martin is strong, aggressive and capable of playing the 3 or 4 comfortably. She is a good shot blocker and rebounder. Her game has expanded to the wing more so, but she makes her money inside of 15-17 feet.

4) 5’10 SF [player_tooltip player_id="20255" first="Taliyah" last="Clark"] (Bishop Blanchet HS) *Signed to Seattle U (Western Athletic Conference)

A very good three point shooter that also has a strong and physical frame. Clark’s ability to stretch the floor will help Seattle U in the WAC. She is a strong positional rebounder on defense and will find her role at the next level as a solid scorer and rebounder in the WAC.

5) 5’11 SF [player_tooltip player_id="157812" first="Skylar" last="Bea"] (Washougal HS) *Signed to Idaho (Big Sky)

One of the more skilled players on this list. She is a solid athlete, but her footwork, basketball IQ and shooting ability will be her greatest strength at the next level. Bea is a hard worker and that will suit her well in college as she continues to develop and get better.
