2021 Updated Rankings: Stock Risers

Several players have seen their rankings improve since our last update due to strong play in the ongoing AIA season. Here’s a look at some of the biggest stock risers the class has to offer. (17) [player_tooltip player_id="136249" first="Daeja" last="Johnson"] (5’10", CG, Casteel) Johnson has had a terrific season as a main catalyst in Casteel’s impressive season. The Colts are the top ranked 5A squad with a record of 14-0. Johnson is averaging 21.2 points a game and over 6 rebounds. This smooth performer has always been one of the top versatile players in the class and in any other year she would be a top 10 prospect for sure. She recently committed to CSU- Pueblo. Previous Ranking 24. (27) [player_tooltip player_id="217495" first="Graciela" last="Roybal"] (5’3", PG, Hamilton) Roybal has been one of the most polished performers this year for the Top 6A ranked Hamilton Huskies. She is most impressive when the game is on the line. Roybal will facilitate the offense while scoring when needed. She is averaging 12 points a game on 37 percent shooting from the 3 point line. Roybal is headed to Arizona Christian next year and she will have a nice impact on the rising ACU program. Previous Ranking 40. (33) [player_tooltip player_id="136263" first="Autuymn" last="Franks"] (5’6", CG, Casteel) Franks is averaging 12 points and 5 assists a game for the top ranked Colts program. She is a lightning quick point guard that can defend at a high level and she plays the passing lanes as well as anyone in the class. She is averaging over 5 steals a game. Previous Ranking 52. (36) [player_tooltip player_id="136270" first="Brionna" last="Smith"] (6’1", PF, Leading Edge) Smith has been one of the most efficient players in the state. She has shot over 50 percent in every game while averaging 21.5 points a game on 65 percent shooting for one of the more solid programs in the east valley this season Previous Ranking 55. (41) [player_tooltip player_id="218198" first="Ahidal" last="Dehuelbes"] (5’5", CG, Tucson High) Dehuelbes was impressive during the fall AAU season before the AIA season. Although the Tucson teams started their seasons later than Phoenix, she has been one of the better performers for Southern Arizona in her first 11 games. She has great size for the position and Dehuelbes has improved her skill level every year. Committed to East Nazarene College. Previous Ranking 60.
