The senior class of Washington has done really well for itself in the 2021 class. To date, our database shows that 24 of the top 30 prospects in the state are signed or verbally committed. The pandemic has greatly impacted recruitment in many ways, but we are seeing that it has been more so impactful to the 2022 class by far. Highlighted below are the top six prospects still available with the latest information.

2021 6’1 SF [player_tooltip player_id="82936" first="Molly" last="Moffitt"] (Seattle Prep) - Strong wing-forward that has just flown under the radar with recruitment to date. She was a strong performer for Seattle Prep in her junior year. Moffitt especially stood out at the state tournament last year. She has gotten interest, but we haven’t seen any reported offers or commitment to date.
2021 6’4 C [player_tooltip player_id="82924" first="Charity" last="Hines"] (Steilacoom HS) - Big, strong post that alters shots, rebounds and keeps it high and can score some in the post. She played solid for Northwest Magic this past Summer and showed improved mobility up and down the court. Hines will be able to help some program at the next level with her size and untapped potential.
2021 6’0 SF [player_tooltip player_id="48027" first="Jaliyah" last="Sampson"] (Rainier Beach HS) - Wing player with great shooting form that can get hot from being the three line for her high school team. She has good strength and with continued development she will be a player who’s latter part of her college career will be her best basketball.
2021 6’2 C [player_tooltip player_id="82929" first="Gillyan" last="Landis"] (West Valley HS) - Another post prospect that is still available for the senior class. Landis is strong, has good hands and can be a consistent scoring threat in the post. Some schools have reached out, but there has been no announcement of a commitment for her.
2021 5’8 SG [player_tooltip player_id="82932" first="Maya" last="Erling"] (Glacier Peak HS) - A prospect who has fallen through the cracks somehow, but has some game to her. Erling is strong, crafty and plays with a good passion for the game. She has gotten looks from schools of all levels, but told Prep Girls Hoops she is still open. *Feature image
2021 6’4 C [player_tooltip player_id="82925" first="Sharayah" last="Johnson"] (Lincoln HS) - Very strong back to basket post player that excels in the half court game.
