Langham Creek already punched their ticket to the semifinals in region 2 with a win over Tomball Memorial. Oklahoma signee [player_tooltip player_id="136349" first="Kaley" last="Perkins"] is one of the top shooters in the state, [player_tooltip player_id="135377" first="Saija" last="Cleveland"] is one of the top juniors in the state. [player_tooltip player_id="96161" first="Aniyah" last="Sanford"] is one of the top sophomore point guards in the state while [player_tooltip player_id="158882" first="Heather" last="Baymon"] is one of the top freshmen in the state and guess what that means? They will probably face one of the top teams in the country, Desoto in the semifinals but let’s not count the eggs before they’re hatched as three other games are on for tonight to determine who plays in the semis Friday
Sasche vs Desoto
I don’t know much about Sasche other than their explosive freshmen guards [player_tooltip player_id="206960" first="Neenah" last="George"], [player_tooltip player_id="206961" first="Micah" last="Cooper"] and [player_tooltip player_id="206962" first="Londyn" last="Oliphant"] as well as sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id="96129" first="Crislyn" last="Rose"], all ranked on PGH in their respective classes but I do know about Desoto and their star-studded crew. Even though junior [player_tooltip player_id="65913" first="Michayla" last="Gatewood"] is out, she’s committed to Texas Tech, fellow juniors [player_tooltip player_id="65914" first="Sa’Myah" last="Smith"], [player_tooltip player_id="65910" first="Amina" last="Muhammad"] and [player_tooltip player_id="135360" first="Tionna" last="Herron"] average a frontline of over 6’3, other juniors [player_tooltip player_id="65912" first="Ayanna" last="Thompson"], [player_tooltip player_id="96916" first="Jiya" last="Perry"] and [player_tooltip player_id="96915" first="Jamia" last="Harris"] are all legitimate scoring threats and senior University of Houston signee [player_tooltip player_id="22370" first="Kendall" last="Brown"] has been huge all season
Duncanville vs Cedar Hill
[player_tooltip player_id="97647" first="Zaria" last="Rufus"], Hope Lemelle, Kiyara Howard-Garza and [player_tooltip player_id="97915" first="Nyah" last="Wilson"] are the seniors, [player_tooltip player_id="135381" first="Kiersten" last="Johnson"] is a junior and [player_tooltip player_id="134030" first="Tristen" last="Taylor"] is one of the top point guards in her class. Cedar Hill’s [player_tooltip player_id="158665" first="Portia" last="Adams"] and Carolynn Washington
Cy Srings vs Klein Oak
[player_tooltip player_id="136347" first="Emari" last="Sidney"], Anaiah Wade, Amber Williams are key offensive players, Williams has been on an absolute tear putting up numbers on a variety of way yet the unsigned senior supporting cast has them on the verge of Cy Springs making it to their first regional semifinals. 6’3 JR Sian Phipps has turned into a legitimate inside threat in the paint, both scoring and rebounding. I haven’t seem Klein Oak play this season however Louisiana Lafayette signee [player_tooltip player_id="67954" first="Ashlyn" last="Jones"] is an amazing scorer, well player and she’s capable of just taking over a game while Kaidance Glenn has been able to score and defend since I first saw her in elementary school
