Falcon hosted Elizabeth last night, and ended up taking the win.  Falcon currently sits on top of their league with an undefeated record 6-0 overall.   Falcon led by two upper-classmen averaging a little over 15 points per game.  Falcon can truly score the ball as a team averaging 59.8 points per game.  Though Elizabeth coming off a rough season last year, they are already showing improvements in this new season.. Elizabeth starts the season with a 2-5 record already 2 wins more than last season.
In last night game both teams struggled to get it going on the offensive end, but made it a defensive game.  Both teams only scored 4 points in the first quarter.  In the second quarter Elizabeth struggled to put the ball in the basket as Falcon went on a scoring run scoring 37 points in the second quarter.  Falcon comes into the second half still being dominate scoring 22 points to Elizabeth 4 points.
Falcon finally slows down in scoring in the fourth quarter only 8 points, but only allowed Elizabeth to score 6 points which is their highest in this game for Elizabeth.  The senior Kayla Harkema was not shy, and had a monster game with 18 points on 8-of-13 shooting (62 percent) from the floor.  Harkema scored half of her points in the third quarter, and she was awarded player of the game.  Another player that was a stand out was [player_tooltip player_id="116790" first="Hannah" last="Burg"], and Billie Fore combining for 26 points in the game.
Elizabeth though struggling to score the ball does has some players that shows that they have a lot of potential.  Led by sophomore guard Brigid Griffin who is averaging 9.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assist, and 4 steals per game.  She shows that she can be a floor general, and knock down shots extending out to the three point line.
