<span style="font-weight: 400;">Last week, Tennessee saw an impressive winter storm swoop through the state. However, McDonald’s brought some exciting news that heated up the basketball landscape. This year, amidst the pandemic, the state of Tennessee had some very impressive young ladies who showcased their skills across the state throughout the year. The girls captured the eyes of national scouts and coaches. From locking down opponents to shooting lights out, these girls were nominated as some of the best throughout our state. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The following names have been selected as nominees for the prestigious McDonald’s All American Games. Amongst the 700+ MAAG nominees, the state of Tennessee had eleven young ladies selected. Recognized for their consistent hustle, grind, and passion, these girls were chosen to represent the state.</span>
<b>Sequoia Allmond (Sr., Whitehaven)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- This 5’7 wizard with the ball in her hands, didn’t get to compete this year due to Covid-19. Yet, the pandemic couldn’t get her down from working on her game. Sequoia is one of the best young ladies in the state. She will be attending Jackson State next season looking to help create a new culture for the Lady Tigers. She is a slasher who can get to the cup with ease. She has a nice mid-range game that compliments her offensive skill sets. She’s a workhorse on the defensive end, looking to shut down any opponent she faces.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245186" first="Lyric" last="Cole"] (Sr. White Station)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- The 6’1 wing layer was unable to suit up this year due to Covid-19. Like Sequoia, Lyric found ways to stay on top of her game. Lyric will be attending Austin Peay next season where she will give the Lady Govs some height and some speed. Lyric is a phenomenal athlete with toughness. She hasn’t reached her potential yet and her game keeps getting better. She is a beast on the boards and can shoot the ball at a high clip. She is a mismatch for opponents due to her height, ability to put the ball on the floor, and possess a quick first step.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245130" first="Raegyn" last="Conley"] (Sr., Baylor School)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- One of the top players in the 2021 class, the 6’1 Wake Forest signee is a beast of a player. She has a tremendous game where she can attack gaps from anywhere on the court. She shoots the ball at a high clip, has a great mid-range game, can dominate the paint, and has a quick first step to the rack. She controls the boards on the defensive end, making her a phenomenal two-way player.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245157" first="Gracie" last="Dodgen"](Sr., White Co.)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- The 3pt queen set the Tennessee state record for the most 3 pointers made in a game. The 5’10 MTSU signee is a bucket from long range. Averaging around 18 pts a game, this sharpshooter was the key ingredient for her team’s success this year. Though her strong suit is the long-range ball, she has a nice mid-range game as well.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245132" first="Lashae" last="Dwyer"]- (Sr. Webb. BB)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- This 5’7 Miami (FL) commit is quick as a cat. She helped lead her Webb to the district title. Lashae can penetrate through gaps and has a nice mid-range game. She can finish at the rim with style, deliver timely passes to her teammates that can shoot in rhythm and can shoot the ball from deep herself. She is impressive on the defensive end, where she leads her team in transition breaks.</span>
<b>Kailyn Farrell (Sr. Tullahoma)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- The 6’1 post player will be attending Auburn at Montgomery. Kailyn worked hard on her game last summer to gain attention from scouts and coaches around. She is phenomenal around the block with the ability to finish at the rim through contact. She has a nice mid-range game that complements her offensive game. She displays relentless effort on the boards on both ends of the floor. </span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245159" first="Jordaynia" last="Ivie"] ( Sr. Lakeway Christian Academy)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Queen Nia has had a heck of a year. From capturing District II-A MVP, Region Tournament MVP, MAAG Nominee, and Miss Tennessee Basketball Finalist, this queen has been balling out. Though she is uncommitted at the time of this writing, I know coaches will soon be flooding her inbox looking for her signature to come to play with them next year. Jordaynia shoots the ball at a high clip from all 3 levels. She does the little things that lead to her team’s success. From doing scrappy things defensively to making the right decisions on the offensive end, she is a heady player with a high ceiling. </span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245134" first="Iyana" last="Moore"] (Sr. Blackman)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- The 5’7 Vanderbilt signee is a bucket. She can do it all with ease and has a real flawless game. She has a high Basketball I.Q. and knows when to strike. She has great handles that allow her to penetrate, can shoot the ball at a high clip from all three levels, and is great in the pick and roll game. One of her overlooked traits is her ability to pass through gaps that look clogged up. Iyana is a great defender who anticipates well on D.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245143" first="Amelia" last="Osgood"] (Sr. Brentwood)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- Strong and mighty, this 5’9 Princeton signee is a grinder. She is a gym rat who has worked hard both in the lab and in the classroom. Amelia is a sharpshooter who can shoot it at a high clip. She is the heartbeat of her Lady Bruins team, where they have had tremendous success this year. She is a true leader and a floor general who gets it done at both ends of the court.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245175" first="Ciara" last="Taylor"] (Sr. MHEA)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">-The District 15-A Player of the year will be attending North Carolina Central University next year. This 5’6 sharpshooter is a gym rat who loves to dial it from deep. She is a player’s coach who is a tireless worker who loves to compete. She has a high basketball I.Q. that allows her to be a 2nd coach on the floor.</span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="245140" first="Maggie" last="Vick"] (Sr. Lakeway Christian Academy)</b><span style="font-weight: 400;">- The 6’4 center is an Iowa State signee and is also a Miss Tennessee Finalist. Maggie is essential in the pick and roll game. She is someone who can finish around the rim and has a nice mid-range game. She controls the boards on both ends and averages near a double-double every time she steps onto the floor. She has impressive footwork and counter moves that enable her to have high percentages around the rim. She is a big that moves well and knows how to utilize her body to dominate in the paint.</span>
