It was a busy Friday night around New Jersey in the girls basketball scene. There were some standout performances from teams and players. Let’s take a look at the winners from Friday’s action.
<strong>Emma Peretti, Hammonton: </strong>Peretti scored 23 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Hammonton past Buena, 43-24. Hammonton improved to 2-1 on the season.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="134615" first="Colleen" last="McQuillen"], Cresskill: </strong>McQuillen led Cresskill with an all-around performance of 21 points, seven rebounds, five assists, three blocks and three steals in the team’s 63-20 victory over Waldwick.
<strong>Jaiden Harris, Our Lady of Mercy: </strong>Harris finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and three steals as Our Lady of Mercy took down Millville, 58-39, in the team’s season opener. Harris made 11 free throws.
<strong>Jamilah Hayles, Roselle: </strong>Hayles had a double-double of 18 points and 12 rebounds in Roselle’s 44-27 victory over Rahway.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="159100" first="Maddie" last="Gore"], Newton: </strong>Gore had a tremendous outing in a 51-50 loss to High Point, scoring 32 points, grabbing 19 rebounds, dishing out eight assists and making three steals. Taylor Squiers added a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.
<strong>Samantha Casey, Dayton:</strong> Casey had 23 points and 13 rebounds in Dayton’s 61-33 win over Union.
<strong>Emma McNierney, Pascack Hills: </strong>McNierney knocked down five 3-pointers and put in 27 points to lead Pascack Hills past Dwight-Morrow, 61-15.
<strong>Glassboro: </strong>Glassboro improved to 4-0 behind an amazing duo performance from [player_tooltip player_id="155443" first="Alexis" last="Davis"] and Karma Payne in the team’s 74-37 victory over Penns Grove. Davis went for 41 points, 17 rebounds, six steals, five assists and two blocks. Karma Payne totaled 27 points, 14 rebounds and four steals. <strong> </strong>
<strong>Lauren Rusas, Kent Place: </strong>Rusas went for 25 points, 10 rebounds and four steals in Kent Place’s 42-24 victory over Hillside.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="134607" first="Destiny" last="Adams"], Manchester Township: </strong>Adams finished with 27 points, 15 rebounds, five assists and four steals in Manchester Township’s 63-26 win over Toms River North.
<strong>Riley Starke, Riverside: </strong>Starke had 18 points, 19 rebounds and seven blocks in Riverside’s 46-32 win over Bordentown.
<strong>Olivia Conroy, Donovan Catholic: </strong>Conroy put in 17 points to go with 12 rebounds as 4-0 Donovan Catholic slipped past Toms River East, 46-41.
<strong>Rosie Regan, Monroe: </strong>Regan totaled 21 points and 15 rebounds as unbeaten Monroe cruised past Middlesex, 62-42.
