Are rankings went from 153 prospects to 170 prospects this rankings edition and we are going to talk about all of the girls added to the list. We will evaluate their games and we hope you will enjoy this edition of the Prep Girls Hoops rankings right before the high school season starts. With the pandemic plaguing all of the United States it is a much needed gesture for the CIFSS to allow the kids to play. Here is Part 2 to the list of kids we are going to talk about and all of these evaluations were contributed by all of the PGHCali writers. 2021, 5’5, PG, Pioneer HS, [player_tooltip player_id="261597" first="Asia" last="Gibson"] - Gibson is a solid point guard with good handles. Comfortable and confident dribbling under defensive pressure. She’s quick in the open court and can get all the way to the rim. Reads the defense and reacts well. She can get her own shot on the perimeter, shoots it well from three-point range. She has good vision in transition and can find open teammates on the break. One of the better unsigned seniors in SoCal. 2021, 5’8, SG, Cordova HS, [player_tooltip player_id="261598" first="Eva" last="Graf"] - Graf is a good frontcourt player who can also handle the ball. In transition, she’s hard to stop. She’ll secure a rebound and go coast to coast for an easy two. She’s strong and can finish through contact. Can draw fouls around the rim. She’s a very good rebounder on both ends of the floor. She can either go right back up and score after getting an offensive board, or she’ll kick out to reset the offense. Can shoot the midrange and three-ball. 2021, 5’11, SF, Yosemite HS, [player_tooltip player_id="261599" first="Jenna" last="Kurtz"] - Jenna is very athletic and definitely goes above and beyond to score for her team. She is not afraid to drive to the basket, and go up against defenders of any size. She plays with a lot of tact and composure. She knows when it’s a good idea to score, and when it’s not a good idea to score. Her basketball IQ is very high, and she doesn’t make many mistakes. Jenna averaged 23.4 PPG, and scored 733 total points during her Junior season! That is an outstanding number and goes above and beyond other current seniors. Kurz also averaged 2.9 APG, 2.7 RPG, and 2.6 SPG. Jenna also averaged a 48% field goal percentage and averaged 71% from the free-throw line. Overall Jenna Kurz is an athletic player that really can do it all on the court. Her ballhandling is great, and she has no problem with being able to score with defenders all around her. Jenna does really well under pressure and is a good characteristic for a basketball player to have. 2021, 5’5, PG, Garces Memorial HS, [player_tooltip player_id="261600" first="Addisyn" last="McMurtrey"] - Addisyn McMurtney of Garces Memorial High School in Bakersfield, CA should not go unnoticed during her Senior season. She really stands out in her gameplay. She is very tenacious and has a knack for stealing the ball. Very smart defender, that knows her way around the court. Addisyn is a very good anticipator when it comes to stealing the ball, and she has no problem with taking it from coast to coast to score. Addisyn averaged 17.9 PPG and scored a total of 412 points during her Junior season at Garces Memorial High School. She also averaged 2.3 APG, 7.2 RPG, and 3.3 SPG. McMurtrey also averaged 52% from the free-throw line. McMurtrey is not that bad of a shooter as well, she has good range. Addisyn is the prime star player of her team. With their season not being very successful, she still manages to play with all her heart and at 100% energy. You can always count on Addisyn to play with everything she has. 2021, 5’6, SG, Monache HS, [player_tooltip player_id="261601" first="Danielle" last="Garcia"] - [player_tooltip player_id="261601" first="Danielle" last="Garcia"] of Monache High School in Porterville, CA has a very high basketball IQ. She is a great passer that knows when, and when not to pass to her teammate. She is very smart on the court, and it shows. One thing I noticed about Danielle is that she is constantly moving around the court when she doesn’t have possession of the ball. She creates opportunities for herself and helps give her teammates assists. You should always admire a player that moves around for your players to pass it to you. You’ll never get the ball if you are stationary. Daniella averaged 12.3 PPG and scored a total of 308 points during her Junior season. Garcia averaged 2.3 APG, 4.3 RPG, and 3.0 SPG. She also averaged 57% from the free-throw line. Garcia has great shooting form, she creates most of her opportunities from the 3-point line. She has no problem shooting from a deep range, and with defenders in her face. Garcia is a skilled individual that should not go unrecognized.
