Below is a list of players who have improved their game in multiple ways to increase their stock on the rankings. Each one of these players were previously ranked and have now moved up to a higher spot.
Trishena Brown Trishena Brown 5'9" | CG West Allis Central | 2023 State WI
A gifted guard who put up huge numbers all season long, Brown is at the top of the state in scoring during her sophomore season. She’s crafty and versatile- creating a game for herself. She can score at all three levels and has a bag full of finish moves. She has incredible handles and ability to remain calm during high pressure defense. She finished her season averaging 20 points per game. She scored a season-high 31 points twice during games against New Berlin West and Catholic Central.
Antionique Auston Antionique Auston 5'8" | CG Sun Prarie | 2023 State WI
The 5’8 point guard is a leader on the floor with a high ceiling for the next level. She’s shifty and explosive while attacking the rim. She plays with a high level of swag on the court and creates the tempo on the offensive end. She is a great finisher around the rim and her downhill drive is very hard to stop. Defenders have a very tough time staying in front, and when she gets by, it’s over usually. She seemed to improve her shot this off season along with her pull up game. This season Auston averaged nearly 16 points per game. Auston currently holds an offer from UW Green Bay.
Ellie Magestro-Kennedy Ellie Magestro-Kennedy 5'9" | PG Janesville Craig | 2023 State WI
Magestro-Kennedy increased her stock after an impressive season at Janesville Craig. She averaged 13 points per game during her sophomore season. In a victory over Badger, the 5’7 guard scored a season-high 25 points. She plays with flare and poise. She has a great change of pace, something that she has really improved during her high school season. Her ability to play slow to fast is prevalent in the pick-and-roll where she creates for herself and her teammates. She can handle the ball with either hand, and she can also finish on either side. She has sneaky athleticism and quickness that allows her to catch lazy defenders off guard and finish at the rim.
Tahlia Moe Tahlia Moe 5'10" | CG Stevens Point (SPASH) | 2023 WI
Moe is an efficient scorer who uses a great hesitation and has handles to fly by defenders at any given moment. She’s able to weave in and out of an offense and utilizes the pivot very well. She’s a playmaking guard who finds her teammates off cuts and can dish into the post effortlessly. She’s been adding some range to her game as well and making defenders guard her at every level on the floor.
Emily Jaenke Emily Jaenke 5'10" | CG Fox Valley Luthern | 2023 State WI
Jaenke is now ranked #13 on the 2023 rankings after proving she is one of the best three point shooters in the entire state. She can consistently knock it down at a high clip. She has fantastic positional height at 5’10 and ability to see above the defender. She needs little to no room to get her shot off. A quick release and a great footwork, Jaenke could step onto the floor at the college level and make an impact. She averaged 14 points per game this season and made 70 three point baskets.
Marie Outlay Marie Outlay 5'9" | CG Sun Prairie | 2023 State WI
Outlay has gone from a key role player to an impact guard. She is a physically advanced guard that possesses impressive athleticism and feel for the game. She utilizes her momentum very well to remain composed when finding her shot but still remaining quick within the offense. She averaged 10 points per game for Sun Prairie this season and is a player to watch as the Grassroots season begins. She has a smooth release and gets herself open well within an offense.
City Figlinksi
Figlinski is a player to watch as grassroots season begins as she is becoming more and more impressive on both ends of the floor. Her offensive game is there- she’s a three level scorer who understands the game and how to create for herself. She passes well and makes good decisions on the floor. She averaged nearly 13 points per game for Appleton West during her sophomore season. She stands out for her defensive abilities. She’s quick and balanced- she can play at a high tempo the entire game and be a defensive standout the entire length of the floor. She grabbed over 30 steals this past season.
Lily Truchon Lily Truchon 5'11" | PG South Shore | 2023 State WI
The 5’10 wing continues to improve her game as she becomes more athletic and faster within an offense. She moves well without the ball and works well within a system. She has the footwork to attack from the perimeter and create contact in the lane. She’s also been consistent in the mid-range and shown ability to knock it down off the dribble.
