As the basketball community here in Missouri has been able to adjust and adapt to all the Covid protocols and the players have been able to get games in, it is time for PGH’s Rankings update. We have been treated with some fantastic basketball so far this season. Which is setting up for a spectacular end to the season as well as a great run of playoff basketball!
Player rankings can be both popular and unpopular, depending on your perspective. The rankings will draw in coaches, players, and family members and hopefully provide some validation and motivation for those players on the list and those that are not. Every player can not be ranked just to have them ranked. We want to give as many next-level high school prospects this type of publicity with the hope that it helps get the word out on those players.
Either way, rankings do matter for many reasons but the most important thing to remember about our rankings is that they are unbiased and are in no way a definitive way to describe a player and her skills. Rankings are a tool to help players gauge where they are with respect to their peers.
The question often asked is are rankings accurate? Yes, they are but they are not perfect. The important thing to remember about rankings is that at its core it will allow for all players to get the needed exposure they deserve for the work they have put in so far.
Our class of 2024 has grown from 39 players ranked to almost double the size to 63. Take a look at the Top 10 and a few notable additions!
