Remember, MY main GOAL is to identify talented players who have “next level potential” at some level of the next level and I saw Southcrest players Ryleigh Meloy play the passing lane as well as makes so good passes not to leave out rebounding but the junior wasn’t alone as senior Presley Lair used her size and power to clean up on the boards as well. St Paul’s Danni Blair gave them some offense, the senior created her shot and dropped some midrange jumpers, even banked a 3 while sophomore Ashlyn Pesek did a good job rebounding on both ends of the court. Here are some of the other Top Performers who also made the All-Tournament team
Southcrest Christian
Mackenzie Garrison-6’1 P senior
Garrison was hard to handle on the inside, first of all, she controlled the boards and ran the floor, which in itself created problems her power in the paint on the offensive end allowed her to finish with players hanging on her. She passes well and did a good job on defense
Natalie Sadler-5’8 G senior
Sadler attacked the rim from just about every angle imaginable and watching her make acrobatic layups, this includes after contact, made her a threat which was assisted by her ability to not only create her shot but knock the long ball down with ease
Shaeden Marr-G junior
Marr creates her shot well and showed she could not only take defenders off the dribble but she also has a nice pull-up jumper
St Paul Catholic
Paige Brown-P senior
Brown plays the passing lane, I love to see that yet she also does something else I like, attack and creates contact which is not easy but she scored multiple ways as well as rebounded
Rebecca Wagner-G junior
Wagner finished strongly, after the lick as well but her quick hands gave her some steals for assists or the pass that led to an assist
Julianna Davis-G Junior
Davis is a competitor, she fires her team up with her pressure defense baseline to baseline and has a knack for being around the ball
