Each team is looking to finish off what was cut short this year, and for some of the players a chance to redeem themselves from last season playoffs. In the 2020 playoffs we had Cherry Creek, Highlands Ranch, Valor Christian, and Grandview in the final four. With Cherry Creek being knocked out the playoffs against a tough team in Highlands Ranch, anything can happen especially with new teams wanting to prove that they deserve a seat in the final four
These players are this list as came out the first round lighting it up in scoring and some on the rebounds to help give their team extra possessions.
Saya Sabus Saya Sabus 5'9" | CG Ralston Valley | 2022 State CO (5’8″, 2022, Ralston Valley)
Sabus a crafty scorer hit one of her season high last against Pueblo West. She scored 20 points to help Ralston Valley get the 73-43 win. Very efficient from the floor, and hard to stop shooting 8-of-14 (57 percent) from the floor while knocking down 2 from deep. To go along with Sabus scoring, Bevington accompanied her with a decorated 17 points for the 6’1″ guard.
Haley Huard Haley Huard 6'1" | SG Valor Christian | 2021 State CO (6’1″, 2021, Valor Christian)
Huard a player that has different variation on how she can put the ball in the basket. She got it going last night against Westminster scoring 16 points to lead her team to victory. Huard being a tough player to contain went off for 7-of-11 (64 percent) from the floor, and added 8 rebounds.
🚨 PSA: @haley_huard has just scored her 1000th career point, making her only the second athlete in @govalorgbball history to hit that milestone. Congratulations Haley! @CHSAA @jryancasey @9Preps @MontanaGrizWBB @Valoreagles pic.twitter.com/o8TJn6M5Pk

Payton Muma Payton Muma 5'9" | PG Highlands Ranch | 2021 State CO (5’8″, 2021, Highlands Ranch)
Muma thrives in these big moments when it comes to playoff basketball, and she is has clutch as anyone in the state. She scored 20 points last night against Cherry Creek. She scored 7 of the 20 points from the line while only missing one. This will be the last run for Muma as she looks to get another state title with that talented Highlands Ranch team.

Elizabeth Gentry Elizabeth Gentry 6'2" | PF Arapahoe | 2024 State CO (6’3″, 2024, Columbine)
A young promising player in Gentry led her team in scoring as they get the 45-38 win over Air Academy. She scored 12 points last night going for 3-of-5 (60 percent) from the field. On the season she is nearly averaging a double double, and gaining one last night contest with 13 rebounds. She was able to knock down a 3, go 5-of-5 from the free throw line, and get 3 blocks in the game.
Addison O’Grady Addison O’Grady 6'3" | PF Grandview | 2021 State #45 Nation CO (6’3″, 2021, Grandview)
O’Grady a threat with her ability to be physical in the post, and stretch teams out. Scored 16 points in last night 74-19 win over Pine Creek. The undefeated team was one game short of potentially winning the state title last season. Being that it is O’Grady last season she is wanting to leave it out all the line, and make sure she can get that championship. In last night contest she also joined the 1,000 point club.
Congratulations to @addiogrady22 on reaching 1000 career points tonight! Way to go Addi!🏀 pic.twitter.com/Naw7LPwNtQ
