The 2A UIL State Championship game between Martin’s Mill and Lipan had plenty of energy and after Lipan closed out the first quarter 10-9 after Martin’s Mill tied the game at 8, they never trailed again and went on to win 44-39 and here were some of the standouts

Celsur led all scorers with 21 points and she scored in a variety of ways, she showed she could drop the long ball, she showed she could attack and she a knack for getting steals, including a couple of back-to-backs that led to layups. She sees the floor, made some solid decisions under pressure
<strong>Kylee Lookabaugh-5’10 C junior</strong>
Lookabaugh plays even bigger than her listed height, much of that because she understands positioning and much because of desire as she rebounded well on both ends. She also did a good finishing as well as hit the long ball
<strong>Libby Rogers-5’7 G junior</strong>
Rogers created her shot under pressure but she also followed her shot as I kept rewinding the video because that is a "lost art" I’m assuming isn’t being taught yet she was solid on taking defenders off the dribble as well as knocking down the midrange
<strong>Lipan (30-3) <a class="yiv8255150190ydp76a85838css-4rbku5 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838css-18t94o4 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838css-901oao yiv8255150190ydp76a85838css-16my406 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-1n1174f yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-1loqt21 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-poiln3 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-bcqeeo yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-qvutc0" dir="ltr" href="https://x.com/ladyNDNhoops" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@ladyNDNhoops</a></strong>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="263337" first="Maggie" last="Peacock"]-6’0 C senior</strong>
Peacock, not sure if she had a double-double, I know she scored 10 points but her inside presence definitely played a huge part in their victory. She has nice moves in the paint, good hands, and footwork, keeps the ball high, and finishes strongly but she showed me a turnaround in the paint that was very impressive, oh yeah, she blocks shots
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="267346" first="Chelsea" last="Lott"]-5’9 G/F sophomore @chelsea12lott</strong>
Lott was the MVP of the game and guess what, she showed me she could score a whole LOTT of ways, either off the dribble with a deceptive first step or just attacking strongly, in the open court but she also showed she could shot the mid to long-range but she mixed it up early dropping 12 of her 18 in the first half
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="270664" first="Taylor" last="Branson"]-5’3 G freshman <a class="yiv8255150190ydp76a85838css-4rbku5 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838css-18t94o4 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838css-901oao yiv8255150190ydp76a85838css-16my406 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-1n1174f yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-1loqt21 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-poiln3 yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-bcqeeo yiv8255150190ydp76a85838r-qvutc0" dir="ltr" href="https://x.com/TaylorBranson01" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">@TaylorBranson01</a></strong>
Branson only scored 6 points but she did enough to show me she could play and her "poise under pressure" stood out early because she handled it with ease. Well she handles the ball with ease too and showed she could create her shot and get it off when she wanted
