Once again, We-Run is the place to be on Sunday nights. Players from all over Southern California have been coming out to compete in these exclusive runs. Here’s a look at some impressive scorers.
Morgan Edwards- Redondo Union 2022

Edwards is a player that you cannot sleep on. She is a quick and shifty point guard who has impressive handles. One of her greatest attributes is her ability to size up her defender and then break them down. She can shoot from behind the arc off the dribble, pull-up from midrange, finish at the rim, and also has a floater game. She straight out knows how to score.
Shayla Gillmer- Aliso Niguel 2022
People need to be talking about Gillmer more. She is a long, athletic hooper who can play all positions on the floor. She is as comfortable running the point as she is on the low block. She can push the ball in transition and is a very good scorer who is tough to stop downhill. She can finish well with both hands and is crafty around the rim. On the block, she has a nice little post fadeaway that is almost always on the mark. Her release is high, making it hard to contest. She also has three-point range.
[player_tooltip player_id="263637" first="Isabella" last="Pearson"]- Troy 2022
Pearson is a combo guard who can handle the ball and shoot the lights out. She is very unselfish, can see the floor well, and find open teammates. She’s a good three-point shooter who can shoot off the dribble or catch and shoot. She runs the lanes and can finish well with both hands. Pearson is probably one of the most consistent shooters that I have seen compete at We-Run.

Jailah Donald- Serra 2022
Donald lets her game do all the talking. She is a well-composed player. She is very crafty when attacking the basket. She can finish through contact with both her right and left hand. Donald’s IQ is pretty high and knows how to score and make plays for her teammates. She crashes the offensive boards and gets easy rebound putbacks. She has a solid release and shoots the ball with confidence. She has the ability to take her defender off the dribble and pull-up in the key. She is pretty consistent from beyond the arc.
[player_tooltip player_id="265653" first="Jordyn" last="Call"]- Harvard Westlake 2023
Call is a knockdown shooter. She has a smooth release and high arcing shot. She can hit it from anywhere on the court. She moves well without the ball and finds open gaps. Defenders need to always keep an eye out for her because she doesn’t need a lot of room to get her shot off.
