<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><b>WIAA State Tournament Standouts - D1 <img class="size-medium wp-image-181836 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/06/Standouts-300x187.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="187" /></b></span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Below is a list of players who had impressive performances during the state tournament run. Each one of these players competed in Division 1. </span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="132370" first="Jaelyn" last="Acker"] </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Germantown | Senior</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The senior finished with 28 points in the semi-final victory over Verona. A phenomenally versatile scorer, Acker can attack the rim but was lethal from behind the arc. She finished with seven 3-pointers in the 76-57 victory. In the championship game against Hudson, Acker finished with 9 points, 13 rebounds and made five 3-point baskets. Acker is headed to Division 1 California Baptist. </span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="209910" first="Lyric" last="Burns"] </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Verona | Freshman </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">A young Verona team that is the team to watch the next four years- Burns showed many different skills on the floor. She’s a defensive threat with incredible movement. She doesn’t force anything but has a good eye for steals or altering passes. Offensively burns did very well knocking down some big baskets. She finished with 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds as her team fell to the state champs, Germantown.</span>
<strong>Kamorea (KK) Arnold <img class=" wp-image-188972 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/07/Kamorea-Arnold-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="200" /></strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Germantown | Sophomore</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The floor general for this team, Arnold sets the tone on both ends of the floor. Her energy is contagious and she makes her teammates better. She’s explosive and crafty- she finishes on a dime and can find her teammates open just as efficiently. She finished with 19 points in the victory over Verona. In the championship game, KK was simply ELITE. She finished with 31 points and dished out 7 assists. She was named MVP of the tournament as she showcased so many skills and proved why she is the top player in her class. </span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="209595" first="Taylor" last="Stremlow"] </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Verona | Freshman</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The freshman had a standout performance as she scored 18 points in a semi-final loss against Germantown. She added 8 rebounds as well. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Franklin | Senior</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The senior took her team under her wing in the semi-final game against Hudson. The 6’0 forward led her team in scoring with 18 points and 8 rebounds. She knocked down a three pointer as well and showed her range in the mid-range as well. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Franklin | Sophomore</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The 5’8 CG was all over the place during the semi-final game. She has great athleticism and speed that will help her become more explosive and be an offensive threat next season. She finished with 11 points in the 61-46 loss against Hudson. </span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="260826" first="Sophia" last="Jonas"] </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Hudson | Senior</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Jonas came into the matchup averaging nearly 14 points per game and was able to be consistent and provide quality minutes and points for her team. She’s a sniper from behind the arc- a smooth release and great timing, Jonas made three 3-point baskets and finished with 11 points in the semi-final victory. In the championship game, Jonas scored 9 points and dished out 3 assists as her team fell to Germantown. </span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="209608" first="Reagan" last="Briggs"] </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Verona | Freshman</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Another freshman for coaches and players to keep their eyes on. Briggs did a lot of little things right that kept her team alive down the stretch. She has tremendous energy on the floor and is dynamic as she plays inside and out. She finished with 8 points in the semi-final loss. </span>
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="132362" first="Olivia" last="Rangel"] </strong>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Franklin | Senior </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Rangel was held to only 8 points during the semi-final game against Hudson but still was able to get her teammates involved and be high energy on the floor. Rangel plays with great energy. Coming into the matchup, Rangel was averaging nearly 20 points per game. She is committed to UW Stevens Point. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Hudson | Senior</span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The First Team All State selection and St Thomas commit put on quite a show during the State Tournament. A strong post player who dominates in the paint, Hatfield scored 21 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the semi-final victory over Franklin. In the championship game loss to a talented Germantown team, Hatfield led her team again with 14 points and 7 rebounds. </span>
