<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><b>WIAA State Tournament Standouts - D5 <img class="size-medium wp-image-179377 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/06/Generic-Featured-Image-3-300x187.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="187" /></b></span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Below is a list of players who had impressive performances during the state tournament run. Each one of these players competed in the Division 5 Tournament in La Crosse, Wisconsin. </span> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><b>Sydney Lurvey</b><b> </b></span> <b>Three Lakes | Senior </b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Entering into the state tournament, Lurvey was averaging nearly 14 points per game. A standout three point shooter and versatile defender, Lurvey put on quite the performance against a top Black Hawk team. She led her team in scoring with 18 points and made six 3-point baskets. </span> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><b>Ainara Sainz de Rozas</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></span> <b>Assumption | Junior</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Sainz de Rozas put on quite the performance in the State Tournament and helped lead her team to a 46-43 victory over McDonell Central. She’s a high IQ point guard with great decision making on the floor. She finished with 16 points in the victory to lead her team to the Championship game.</span> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="132348" first="Bailey" last="Butler"] <img class=" wp-image-155946 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/03/Bailey-Butler-300x300.jpg" alt="" width="183" height="183" /></b></span> <b>Black Hawk | Senior</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The point guard did a fantastic job during her final tournament run as her team lost a tough battle against Three Lakes. An incredible athlete who earned Miss Basketball 2021, Butler finished her senior season with 23 points and 5 steals. </span> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="202305" first="Emily" last="Bohn"] </b></span> <b>Assumption | Senior</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Bohn has been dominant all season and is such a threat on both ends of the floor inside the paint. She uses her body incredibly well and has great athleticism shown through her balance and ability to move within the offense. She finished with 13 points in the victory over McDonell Central. She finished with 16 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in the Championship victory over Three Lakes. </span> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><b>Taylor Kolling </b></span> <b>Three Lakes | Senior</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The senior averaged nearly 10 points per game all season long and was consistent. She can knock down the three point baskets and is patient when moving within the offense. In the victory over Black Hawk, Kolling scored points. She finished with 9 points against Assumption in the Championship game. </span> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><b>Lauryn Deetz</b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span></span> <b>McDonell Central | Junior</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Deetz entered the matchup against Assumption averaging 13 points per game and though she was held to under her average in the tough loss- she showed how dynamic and explosive she can be on offense. She scored 11 points to lead her team. </span> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><b>Kara Sowinski </b></span> <b>Three Lakes | Junior</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">Sowinski nearly doubled her scoring average in the Championship game against Assumption. Though her team didn’t win the game- it was Sowinskis ability to attack the rim and knock down two huge three point baskets that held her team in it. She finished with 14 points to lead her team. </span> <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><b>[player_tooltip player_id="202307" first="Jessie" last="Grundhoffer"] </b></span> <b>Assumption | Senior</b> <span style="font-weight: 400;">The 5’10 post player who can step outside and knock down the 3-point basket, Grundoffer was fantastic in the championship game against Three Lakes. She made two clutch three point baskets and finished with 15 points. </span>
