This group is not big but they are competitive and can play the game very fast. This group will have to play the game at 85+ feet in order to negate the consistent disadvantage around the basket (size wise).
The team is very versatile which can make things hard for opposing teams as switches don’t generally create matchup issues. This team also has a lot of good shooters but may be streaky at times. On most days this group will be a plus shooting the ball against anyone and on the right day they have the ability to shoot some people out of the gym.
#2 Sammie Buss Sammie Buss 5'5" | PG Neenah | 2023 State WI
2023 | 5’5” Xavier
Sammie is a do everything PG/SG that will be the initiator of this groups transition and ½ court game. Sammie sees the floor at an elite level, can shoot the 3 at an extremely high rate and has multiple finishing options around the rim. Sammie brings a toughness and competitiveness to this team that will elevate our ability to compete against elite teams in the region/country. Defensively Sammie is a good defender against the 1-3 and plays with an extremely high IQ.
#4 Ava Privet
2023 | 5’10” Caledonia, MN
Ava is an elite shooter and has range on her shot…one of the best shooters in the state of MN. In addition Ava has multiple finishing options as she attacks the basket (floater, pull up, score with either hand at the rim). Ava is long, athletic and not done growing. Ava handles the ball well for a player her size and can play the 1-4 if needed depending upon matchups. Ava is at her best in transition off the catch Defensively Ava will guard the 2-3 positions and will be relied upon to rebound at a high level.
#5 Kenzie Deaton
2023 | 5’9” Wausau West
If you think you’ve seen the name…..you most certainly have! Kenzie comes from a family with a long line of talented young ladies and she is no exception. A do everything, guard everyone type player Kenzie will bring versatility on both ends. Kenzie can score it at all 3 levels, rebounds it exceptionally well and will defend all 5 positions at times for us. Kenzie sees plays before they happen and makes great reads on both ends of the floor.
#10 Halle Van DeHey
2024 | 6’ Xavier HS
Halle has done nothing but impress so far. She is big, strong and has an extremely high motor. Halle competes on every play and is willing to sacrifice her body to win loose balls and make positive plays for the team. Halle will play the 3-5 for this team on both ends of the floor. Halle has 3 point range but is at her best inside 15 feet and in transition. Defensively Halle does a lot of things right…position, communication and playing through the rebound. Halle will be a huge piece to the puzzle of success for this group
#11 Breah Golden
2023 | 5’8” Arcadia
Breah is a crafty, shifty and explosive scorer. Breah has the ability to get to her spots and put people at a disadvantage with her handle. As with several players on this team Breah has range on her 3 point shot and is a big time threat out there. Breah has the ability to make those around her better with great vision and passing ability. Defensively Breah will guard the 1-3 and really impacts defensively through anticipation and the ability to quickly turn defense into offense.
#12 Grace Hanson
2023 | 5’8” Hudson HS
Grace is coming off a state championship game run to end her HS season. One of few 2023’s to contribute on a Senior laden Hudson team Grace brings a lot of great things to this team. Grace is an elite defender at the 1-3 and her effort, awareness, leadership and toughness on the defensive end will provide direction for this group. Grace is best offensively when attacking the basket. When she gets inside 15’ she is a tough player to stop, especially at the rim.
#14 Bri McCurdy
2023 | 5’7” St. Croix Falls
Bri is a standout player on a very talented and successful team and program. Bri has the ability to impact the game on both ends with her footspeed and her high basketball IQ. Bri will really make other teams pay at the 3 point line if left open. Bringing an unbelievable motor and competitiveness on both ends Bri will play the 2-3 and primarily guard the 2-3. This team will be looking to Bri for her toughness, vocal leadership and competitiveness.
#15 Brittney Mislivecek Brittney Mislivecek 5'9" | CG La Crosse Central | 2023 State WI
2023 | 5’8” LaCrosse Central HS
Brittany is a smooth, athletic and active player on both ends. She excels in transition, has easy 3 point range, a mid-range pull up and can score at the rim. Brittney is one of those players that you can put the ball in her hand and she can find you a bucket. Brittney will be relied upon to play the 1-2 primarily, control pace and create opportunities in transition. Defensively she will challenge opposing teams 1-2 guards and use her length and athleticism to turn defense into offense.
#21 Tayah Christopher
2023 | 5’10” Eau Claire North
Tayah is an elite passer as evidenced by her 5.1 apg. Tayah is a big and strong player who will be relied upon to control the game on both ends inside the 3 point line. Tayah excels as a rebound and run ball handler and that is where she can really put a team in tough situations. She has a cannon with great vision in the full court and will put it on a dime to a streaking teammate. She will primarily guard the 3-5 and will be relied upon to rebound at a high level defensively.
#23 Teagen Becker Teagen Becker 5'8" | SG Stanley Boyd | 2023 WI
2023 | 5’8” Stanley Boyd
Teagen is one of those 5 tool players . She has experience at every position on both ends of the floor, can score it at all 3 levels and can exploit matchups on both ends. She is strong with good feet and a high IQ. Teagen will primarily play the 2-3 and guard the 2-4 but this group will rely on her to be a swiss army type depending upon the lineup on the floor. Teagen is at her best in catch and shoot or catch and attack situations and when using her physicality on defense. She will be relied upon to be a vocal leader defensively.
