EOT Spring Gem State Classic All-Oregon Team Part 1

With another EOT, this time in Meridian, Idaho we take a look at some of the top Oregon based performers from last weekend’s action.   Sierra Logue Sierra Logue 6'3" | SF South Medford | 2022 State OR made a statement for South Medford that she is amongst the top centers in the State with her tremendous size and fluidity.   Skye Miller Skye Miller 5'10" | SG McKay | 2021 State OR continued to show her nifty guard skills, which are wrapped with confidence and flair.   Emmaly Welch Emmaly Welch 5'11" | SF Oregon City | 2021 State OR showed promise as an interior score who is highly engaged and calculated.   Rhyan Mogel Rhyan Mogel 5'10" | SF Clackamas | 2023 State OR is a fierce competitor on the court who continues to obtain guard skills to add to her repertoire.   McKenzie Hirsch McKenzie Hirsch 5'11" | SF Crater | 2022 State OR is a newcomer for NW Select who immediately fit in thanks to her glue player tendencies and high motor.  Jazzy Davidson for NW Select is a up and coming player who hasn’t hit the high school scene yet but is a problem in 17U. Sierra Logue Sierra Logue 6'3" | SF South Medford | 2022 State OR 2022 6’3" C South Medford - The towering center had a prolific display as an activated two-way player for South Medford.  She versatile on both ends of the floor, as she can hit it from about fifteen feet out and shows good mobility going around defenders in the paint.  Exceptional defender with tremendous length that is productive on the glass and an excellent shot blocker. Skye Miller Skye Miller 5'10" | SG McKay | 2021 State OR 2021 5’10" SG Oregon Triple - The Eastern Arizona signee continued to show brilliant play at the guard position as she plays with playground deception wrapped with fundamentally sound play.  She is a great three-level scorer who has sneaky athletic abilities based on out-witting her opponent. Emmaly Welch Emmaly Welch 5'11" | SF Oregon City | 2021 State OR 2021 6’0" PF Oregon Triple - Welch has great length and a high motor at the forward position as she is a blue collar player who plays with a lot of refinement in the paint.  Shows great discipline defensively as she plays with a lot of effort on that end.  Great timing and effort on rebounding who scores at a good rate on second chance attempts. Rhyan Mogel Rhyan Mogel 5'10" | SF Clackamas | 2023 State OR 2023 5’10" SG NW Select Black - Mogel continued to show her developing guard skills as she is looking more complete as the days progress at the position.  Already an established full court defender, she is a slashing type who gets to the rim and finishes the job once she is there.  She has a steady mid-range jumper and can hit the open three-pointer with good consistency as well. McKenzie Hirsch McKenzie Hirsch 5'11" | SF Crater | 2022 State OR 2022 5’11" SF NW Select White - Hirsch excelled with her new club as she had 14 points versus a loaded South Medford squad as well as 19 versus Tree of Hope Idaho.  "Mac" is a player who gets an edge on her opposition through quick calculated moves, whether it is obtaining a 50/50 ball or hitting a three-pointer to end the half.  Instinctual player who knows how to contribute when she is out on the floor. Jazzy Davidson 2025 6’1" SF NW Select Black - Davidson continued to impress with her precocious scoring skills, as she is a match-up nightmare for most teams.  In the open court, she runs with prowess and in the half-court setting she can hit it from deep as well as make maneuvers towards the basket and finish with her great wingspan.
