HUSTLE AWARD – Dylan Silber Dylan Silber 5'8" | SG Wando | 2022 State SC – Wando HS (Mount Pleasant) – TMP 17U (pictured on front)
Silber plays every play like its her last one on the floor. Silber dives on the floor, gets in the middle of the scrap pile and battles for rebounds. Silber runs the floor extremely hard and just never takes a play off at all. Silber is constantly around the ball to make a play. Silber might lack in style points at times she doesn’t in effort.
Watch Out She Will Knock You Out – Maliyiah Mason Maliyiah Mason 6'0" | SF Gray Collegiate | 2023 State SC (2023) – Irmo HS – A’ja Wilson Elite 2022 – Dickerson
Mason is one of my favorite players in the Palmetto State when it comes to playing hard. Mason won’t hesitate one second to dive on the floor, grab a rebound on both ends of the floor or just knock down the defender. Mason is best suited around the paint area and is most efficient there.
Steady Production and Just Plays the Game: Alaina Nettles Alaina Nettles 5'8" | CG Cane Bay | 2023 State SC (2023) – Cane Bay HS – TMP 16U
Nettles doesn’t seem to say much while on the floor. Nettles really seems to back it up with her constant production on the floor with her ability to knockdown the mid-range jumper at a high clip. Nettles has a knack to score the ball when needed and does it very productively. Nettles body language just brings steady play every time she hits the floor.
SHOOTERS NEEDED – Carly Keats (2022) – Choctaw Central HS (Philadelphia, MS) – Mississippi Top Prospects
Keats caught my eye while watching another team on the floor. Keats shoots the ball from deep range with little hesitation at all. Keats has a quick shot release and form. Keats shot the ball at a very high percentage today and didn’t seem to miss at all. Keats 5’9 point guard has had plenty of accolades this past season. Keats high school team finished the year at (25-4).
SHOOTERS SHOOT – Shelby Fiddler (2022) – Patrick Henry HS (Roanoke, VA) – FBC Carolina Elite Adidas Mel
Fiddler is off the board and headed to Niagara University after she is done with high school. I really don’t recall Fiddler missing a shot today in the game on her way to scoring 15 points. Fiddler felt most comfortable shooting the ball from the corners on the floor.
