We caught up with the Lakeridge Pacers of the Three Rivers League, tuning into a Saturday morning practice instructed by Head Coach Jason Brown and company. The Pacers look to build upon the 2019-2020 season where they finished 13-12 overall in a tough Three Rivers League where Coach Brown won the Coach of the Year. Extrapolating on their core of [player_tooltip player_id="204577" first="Addie" last="Reardon"], [player_tooltip player_id="207817" first="Reese" last="Ericson"], and [player_tooltip player_id="158555" first="Keelie" last="O’Hollaren"] - whom all played on the same Oregon Elite Gold squad, the Pacers look to collectively come together with various returners along with a new face to their program. Here is a look at who impressed during their practice that we attended.
[player_tooltip player_id="204577" first="Addie" last="Reardon"] 2021 5’9" SG Lakeridge HS
Addie looks to cap off a great career with the Pacers, as the Puget Sound signee had a tremendous last half year with Oregon Elite Gold where she solidified herself as a difference maker on the court. She is defensively engaged as a highly aware and aggressive player. Confident three-level scorer who can take it into the paint and can hit it at the mid-range level as well as from the three-point line.
[player_tooltip player_id="207817" first="Reese" last="Ericson"] 2022 5’5" PG Lakeridge HS
Reese was another fantastic piece for Oregon Elite Gold where she was able to show off her point guard skills as a savvy and refined floor general who can pick up the pace at the drop of a pen. Ericson knows when and where to find her teammates, preferably before the defense sets up. She reads and reacts well to the defense and has a nifty ensemble of moves near the paint and can hit the open jumper.
[player_tooltip player_id="204584" first="Rose" last="Daniels"] 2021 5’9" SG Lakeridge HS
Rose is another contributor at the guard position as a willing and able scorer who can pierce her way to the basket as well as hit from alongside the perimeter. The Pacific commit is a well-rounded player who makes an impact on both ends of the floor as she possesses a solid motor as well as awareness to the game. She brings much needed stability at the guard spot for Lakeridge.
[player_tooltip player_id="207836" first="Kiersten" last="Weiler"] 2022 6’0" PF Lakeridge HS
Kiersten brings great size and physicality at the forward position as she is more of the traditional forward blend for the Pacers. She commands space in the paint and knows how to pinch her defender at the rim. A natural rebounder who possesses good foot work in the paint and is disciplined in her movements around the basket.
[player_tooltip player_id="158555" first="Keelie" last="O’Hollaren"] 2023 5’10" SG Lakeridge HS
Keelie is a highly skilled scorer who gets the job done in a highly efficient manner as she has an expansive offensive tool-kit. She scores in three dribbles or less, has a lot of spring in her step and has excellent footwork. Perhaps these are due in part to the fact that she is also a talented volleyball player. She grew tremendously over the last half year playing for a talented Oregon Elite Gold squad, eventually making it up to their premier Navy team.
Emma Jeanson 2021 5’7" SG Lakeridge HS
Jeanson is the latest addition to Lakeridge High School as she transferred from crosstown rival Lake Oswego. Emma brings another solid foundation at the guard spot who can intertwine with the other pieces and bring more stability and consistency for the Pacers. She runs the floor well and finishes at the rim with great consistency and brings a competitive edge defensively.
