[player_tooltip player_id="188213" first="Ava" last="Lingemann"] - Ethan - (5’6/PG/2024) - Ava scored in double figures in all three games of the tournament for an average of 14.0 points and finished 6th in total scoring in the tournament. She’s a 2024 point guard that should have a little upward movement in the next rankings update. 9-24 from three for 37.5%. Ava uses her superb quickness on both ends of the floor. Also, uses her quickness to blow by the initial defense, looking for herself to score or for kick-outs for jumpers. Moves the ball around the perimeter well and quickly.
[player_tooltip player_id="188212" first="Hannah" last="Bartscher"] - Ethan - (5’8/SG/2022) - Hannah is moved up in our rankings and she’s a big-time threat from three. Give her time and space and it has a good chance of dropping for three points for Ethan. She hit 5 threes in 3 games, scoring 22 points vs Corsica-Stickney and finished with a 13.33 scoring average in the tournament. She needs to be guarded tightly as she’s not afraid to fire it up well beyond the three-point arc.
[player_tooltip player_id="98759" first="Raven" last="Barse"] - Corsica-Stickney - (5’11/SF-PF/2021) - Raven does it all on the court for her team. Contributes in a game in many ways. In the tournament, she averaged a double-double with 11.67 ppg. and an even 10 rebounds per game, with two games with 12 boards. Had an efficient field goal percentage at 48.3%. Raven continuously makes plays that don’t show up on the stat sheet. Plays with great toughness and energy, as to why she pulls down so many boards. She’s a 1,000 point career scorer.
[player_tooltip player_id="99754" first="Rachel" last="Gerlach"] - Corsica-Stickney - (5’10/SF/2022) - Rachel is a solid wing with some good size at 5’10 and has a little length to her. She wasn’t as efficient from the field as normal but still managed to scored 9.7 per game. Rachel has a smooth stroke that goes to the three-point line. Should take on a larger scoring load next season and will be relied on heavily, especially early in the season depending on when [player_tooltip player_id="100468" first="Avery" last="Broughton"] is able to return. Rachel is in consideration to be a breakout candidate mentioned in a future post, with a combination of ability and opportunity.
[player_tooltip player_id="100500" first="Denae" last="Mach"] - Viborg-Hurley - (5’9/SG/2023) - Denae is a 2023 prospect to know. Had an outstanding 2nd game scoring 20 points on 6-12 (4-6 3pt). She can really shoot the three from a set position going 7-12 from for 58.3% in the tournament. She was also 8-9 from the line, helping her lead her team in scoring with 13.0 per contest. She has room for improvement, as she struggled a little taking care of the ball with 19 total turnovers. Denae could also be mentioned as a breakout candidate for next season given Voss and and Ronke will have been graduated.
