Skyler Witt- SG (Just Play Elite 17U)
Witt continues to show me she’s one of the best “catch and shoot” players with accuracy in the area and watching her create and release off the dribble “ain’t bad either” but she’s also showing she can score by attack and finishing after contact
Elyse Sellers-SF (SA Lady Hoops 2023 Black) 2023
Sellers had me seeing #SOLD as her upside combined with progression, whoa hold on, she’s long and athletic, and watching her just elevate her game from the last time I saw her to just show she can score multiple ways. Her first step is deceptive yet her strides are long and that combined with body control was impressive, so was her midrange but her length to block, deflect and alter shots made me smile
Mercedes Perez-CG (SA Lady Hoops Black 2023) 2023
Perez has always shown poise under pressure so how can she show even more, well by just taking over in the clutch and either shooting the long ball, the midrange, or attacking the rim, she mixed it up nicely but even more importantly, she did it in the flow and got her teammates involved with pinpoint passes yet her defense has taken a jump and her pressure created turnovers
Micah Elegores-PG (Katy Crush 16U) 2023
Elegores made one of my Tip Sheets before she entered high school and since she’s been at Katy Taylor, I usually caller a Tip Sheet waiting to happen. I love the way she sees the floor and is one of those players whose instincts were always something that just grabbed me. Let me add that she has good range and can just take over offensively if she has too but her controlling the tempo keeps sending me a message
E. Rileigh Hairston-SF (Houston Lady Roadrunners Bell) 2025
Hairston may not be related to Happy yet she makes me smile every time I see her. I’m over many heads with my dropping of names yet her ability to elevate over many heads and dropping baskets is just as important and when you factor in she’s “long and athletic” and she’s playing up against players heading into their junior and senior years, she will be on that 2025 Watchlist
