USJN Windy City Classic – Michigan’s Pool All-Stars

Some prominent Michigan grassroots teams traveled to Milwaukee for the 16th Annual USJN Windy City Classic. The players from our state performed at a high level and that was shown when the Pool All-Star Teams were released. Let's take a look at the players from Michigan that received this honor. <h2>2022'S</h2> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147785" first="Kalin" last="Bates"] ([program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'])</strong> Bates was tremendous off the catch and shoot over the weekend. Pool P All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="253597" first="Ashley" last="Bower"] (CCE)</strong> Bower is continuing her excellent play from the state playoffs. Pool E All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147773" first="Lauren" last="Gunn"] (Michigan Cagers)</strong> Gunn has played some excellent basketball as of late. She's been finding the rim on a consistent and efficient basis. Pool M All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147716" first="Abbey" last="Kimball"]  (MBA)</strong> Pool A All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="227317" first="Maddie" last="Schuur"] (MBA)</strong> Schuur is an underrated shooter that's really making some noise as a prospect. Pool N All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="277639" first="Erin" last="Sherwood"] (CCE)</strong> Pool E All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="147748" first="Hannah" last="Toutant"] ([program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'])</strong> Toutant's post defense was outstanding as she blocked shots and created turnovers. She worked very well off the high post offensively. Pool K All-Star <h2>2023'S</h2> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="256568" first="Sydnie" last="Gillett"] ([program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'])</strong> Gillett was a tough and creative finisher. She stayed focused on the rim and played through contact. Pool W All-Star <strong>Sophie Hense ([program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'])</strong> Pool AA All-Star <h2>2024'S</h2> <strong>Paige Austin (Michigan Premier)</strong> Pool QQ All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="244745" first="Braxcynn" last="Baker"] (MBA)</strong> Baker shot the lights out at the Windy City Classic. She was very comfortable playing at a fast pace. Pool LL All-Star <strong>Morgan Berquest ([program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'])</strong> Pool RR All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="244313" first="Emma" last="Bruwer"] (MBA)</strong> Pool LL All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="260506" first="DayShauna" last="Crowley"] (West Michigan Drive)</strong> Pool PP All-Star <strong>Savannah Fellenbaum ([program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'])</strong> Fellenbaum's versatile scoring turned heads at the event. Pool MM All-Star <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="244311" first="Faith" last="Jungwirth"] ([program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'])</strong> Jungwirth scored with her back to the basket as well as facing the rim and taking the ball right. She was strong and physical in the paint. Pool XX All-Star <strong>Anna Richards (Michigan Premier)</strong> Richards is fun to watch when the ball is in her hands. Pool HH All-Star <strong>Ella Szatkowski ([program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'])</strong> Pool WW All-Star <h2>2025'S</h2> <strong>Jynelle Lewis (Michigan Premier)</strong> Pool BBB All-Star <strong>Ava McKaig ([program_tooltip program_id='715753' first='Michigan' last='Mystics'])</strong> Pool CCC All-Star <strong>Ashlyn Moorehead (Michigan Premier)</strong> Moorehead is a smooth guard with a nice upside as a prospect. She can be very fast with the ball and put defenders on her hip.
