With the girls basketball season shortly around the corner, we take a look at some breakout players that could continue to develop in the 6A Classification. [player_tooltip player_id="158486" first="Cami" last="Fulcher"] is a workhorse at the point guard position who looks to fill a huge void with [player_tooltip player_id="158475" first="Audrey" last="Roden"] deciding to enroll at Nevada in the summer. [player_tooltip player_id="158521" first="Sarah" last="Lamet"] made the leap to Oregon Elite and is a disciplined and highly efficient forward with great size and length. [player_tooltip player_id="158523" first="Gretta" last="Baker"] made the transfer from Cleveland to Central Catholic and looks to be a pivotal part of the offense for the Rams. With the departure of Cameron Brink, Mountainside will look no further than its playmaking guard [player_tooltip player_id="158517" first="Halle" last="Hageman"], who has a nose for the big play in transition. [player_tooltip player_id="158520" first="Sierra" last="Logue"] is a tremendous center who runs very well from baseline to baseline for South Medford. [player_tooltip player_id="204601" first="Zoe" last="Fry"] looks to continue to develop for South Salem.
[player_tooltip player_id="158486" first="Cami" last="Fulcher"] 2021 5’8" PG West Linn HS - Structure is the word you think of when describing Fulcher’s play. A highly intuitive and disciplined point guard who controls the tempo and flow of the game when the ball is in her hands which is often. A great facilitator who sets the table well but can also step up and score around the basket with crafty maneuvers.
[player_tooltip player_id="158521" first="Sarah" last="Lamet"] 2022 6’4" C Tigard HS - Lamet made a living in the paint in limited minutes for Clutch Cardinal and she likes to keep things simple with her go-to drop step move. With surging confidence, it can be seen that Lamet has made great strides in her game. She is mobile for someone her size and scores with great composure around the basket.
[player_tooltip player_id="158523" first="Gretta" last="Baker"] 2022 5’9" SG Central Catholic HS - Gretta is known in circles as a high volume shooter who gets gritty on the defensive end. With a new program, she looks to shake things up in the Mt. Hood Conference. Continued development and discipline on shot-taking could lead to huge gains for the transfer from Cleveland HS.
[player_tooltip player_id="158517" first="Halle" last="Hageman"] 2022 5’6" SG Mountainside HS - Hageman is already known as one of the most exciting guards in the State, as she has the uncanny ability to push the ball in transition. She can score from all three levels and has a sixth sense for getting the ball to her teammates before the defense can react. Highly creative and has innate playmaking ability.
[player_tooltip player_id="158520" first="Sierra" last="Logue"] 2022 6’3" PF South Medford HS - Logue was strictly a defensive specialist who could stretch the floor last season. Logue has added several different layers to her offensive repertoire as she can sink it from mid-range and has a nice hook-shot as well. She can score around the basket and moves well, showcasing great fluidity.
[player_tooltip player_id="204601" first="Zoe" last="Fry"] 2022 6’2" C South Salem HS - Zoe was a scrappy defensive specialist who made lots of plays around the rim as a shot eraser and rebounder. With the early departure of [player_tooltip player_id="158480" first="Hilary" last="James"] as well as [player_tooltip player_id="158527" first="Delaney" last="Keith"], South Salem may go into their center more often. With a solid frame and aggressive, she certainly has the tools to be a difference maker on the offensive end.
