As we take a look at the upcoming season here in Oregon, we glance at some of the top returning rebounders from the Beaver State. [player_tooltip player_id="158478" first="Natalie" last="Lathrop"] is a graceful forward with size whereas [player_tooltip player_id="158493" first="Olivia" last="Rudolph"] shows that strength and power are keys to rebounding. [player_tooltip player_id="158489" first="Truitt" last="Reilly"] is a technician as far as collecting rebounds go whereas [player_tooltip player_id="158479" first="Schuyler" last="Berry"] is a leader who plays a great role in her rebounding and defensive mindset for Grant. [player_tooltip player_id="204575" first="Afton" last="Keeney"] is another name to remember as far as rebounding goes as she is a bit undersized at the position but more than makes up for it with her ability to snatch boards from both ends of the floor.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158473" first="Aaronette" last="Vonleh"] 2021 6’3" C West Linn HS</strong> - The Arizona commit had a big summer with Nike EYBL Cal Stars as she showed that she can compete with the nation’s best on any given night. She has immense size which she uses to her advantage in the post as a seasoned forward who dominates. She grabs rebounds at a tremendous rate and will continue to her last season for the Lions.
<strong>Emi Bishop 2021 6’2" PF Wilsonville HS</strong> - Bishop is highly productive on the block as she is very physical and intuitive as a forward. She is a workhorse on the block who is engaged on every possession as a result she collects stats all over the board. She is physically imposing as she has a lot of strength which she combines with grace and stamina.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158478" first="Natalie" last="Lathrop"] 2021 6’3" Tualatin HS</strong> - The Nevada commit’s game is all revolved around her lengthy frame, which she used to obtain a 35 point, 17 rebound, 10 point triple double last season. She is a natural rim protector who showcases a lot of natural defensive instincts. Grabs a large portion of rebounds in her vicinity thanks to her wingspan.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158493" first="Olivia" last="Rudolph"] 2021 6’2" PF West Salem HS</strong> - Olivia is one of the lesser known dominant post players as she combines strength, agility, and wit in the form of a 6’2" forward. She is incredibly strong as she can take defenders to the rim as she has soft hands useful for rebounding and finding others from the high post. Underrated forward with large upside.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158489" first="Truitt" last="Reilly"] 2021 6’1" PF Silverton HS </strong>- Truitt is a blue collar forward who is incredibly disciplined which can be seen through her numbers as she averaged just about 17 points and 10 rebounds last season for Silverton. She has a lot of fluidity as a rebounder as she collects a lot of boards due to her efforts and blue collar approach alone.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158479" first="Schuyler" last="Berry"] 2021 6’2" PF Grant HS - </strong>Schuyler leads as a persistent and vocal leader out on the court as her approach to the game is inspirational and forward. She has great awareness and feet that she uses to get good positioning in the paint and as a result she is one of the most consistent rebounders in the State.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="204575" first="Afton" last="Keeney"] 2021 6’0" PF Westview HS - </strong>Afton is very fierce in her approach to the game of basketball as she is an aggressive interior player who gets the job done with tremendous effort alone. She cleans the glass well as a highly productive player who isn’t afraid of rolling her sleeves up.
