AAU Team Preview- Sports City U 17U

One of the most recognized programs in the country, Sports City U has two teams this spring, with this being their older squad. There younger squad will be featured later. Power 5 offers and verbals all over the court. <em><strong><span style="font-size: 14pt;">Top players to Watch</span></strong></em> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32611" first="Cotie" last="McMahon"], 5-11 2022, Centerville</strong> Cotie is a high motor dynamic player who is best known for being engaged on the court at all times. She is very talented in the transition game as a big athletic guard who can finish well at the rim. She can get to the free throw line a lot and finish. Has a lot of next level tools. The emotional leader of the team, she is going to Ohio State. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32606" first="Chance" last="Gray"], 5-9 2022, Lakota West</strong> Chance is a knock down shooter, hit 10 3s over two games in an event earlier this year. She has the skills to play either guard spot well, can handle the ball as a PG or moves over to the SG spot depending on the lineup. She can do a bit of everything, great passer and a solid teammate. Very fundamental and her skill set is college ready. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32623" first="Grace" last="VanSlooten"], 6-3 2022, Toledo Notre Dame</strong> Could be the most versatile kid on the roster, a legit 6’2", shoots the three very well and can post up and score inside vs anyone. Grace is very good running the floor, catch and finish. Can do it all. Can move around to play different spots.  Can guard multiple positions, long and smart. Uses length to guard smaller faster kid. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32618" first="Imarianah" last="Russell"], 5-11 2022, Reynoldsburg</strong> Phenomenal athlete, possibly the best pure athlete on the roster. Similar high ceiling as the other players mentioned, Power 5 offers. She is their best on-ball defender , great in transition, knocks down the open 3, never gets tired like the energizer bunny. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="59769" first="Amiyah" last="Reynolds"], 6-0 2023, South Bend (IN) Washington </strong> Extremely talented, she is another one who can run the team. She doesn’t need to score but can.  Excellent shooter, high IQ kid and she has a ton of power 5 offers already on the table. She is the only player on this roster who returns next year, works well with nine outstanding 2022 stars. <span style="font-size: 14pt;"><em><strong>Other key contributors</strong></em></span> [player_tooltip player_id="91138" first="Kaia" last="Woods"], 5-3 2022, Royal Crown Academy (Canada)- high level PG, speed, great passer. Gabby Anderson, 5-10 2022, IMG Academy (FL)- high motor athlete who continues to improve. Can score from the 3 and midrange.
