This spring, I saw many players who I was unfamiliar with before the season. Over the last couple of months, these players impressed me so much that they earned a spot in the top 100.

Coras ended the spring season on a high note showing what kind of scorer and playmaker she could be against some of the tougher competition in the region. Coras is a long, athletic wing who does an excellent job staying in front of her assignment on defense. She moves her feet well and plays aggressively without fouling. On offense, Coras draws more fouls than most. She is a crafty lefty guard who uses her body well when going up for layups to initiate contact. I also like how well Coras moves the ball. She makes smart, quick decisions and does not make lazy passes. She is not a traditional point guard, but you can depend on her to bring the ball up and initiate the offense due to her high IQ. During the New England Showcase, Coras was one of the more impressive shooting guards that I saw.

Vaz is a deadly shooter who earlier in the month had a 33-point explosion which displayed the myriad of ways she can score. Vaz is a confident shooter who is automatic spotting up and is constantly moving to find open areas on the court where she can snipe. What was impressive about this particular scoring barrage was how much she put the ball on the floor and either got to the basket or pulled up in the mid-range. I thought Vaz did a great job taking what the defense gave her and using the whole floor to be effective. If she can continue to be that efficient and potent of a scorer at all three levels, she will be an X factor during the July live period.

Colon is one of the best help-side defenders at her position in the ’24 class. I always notice her in the proper position and Colon always sees her assignment and the ball. She has good instincts and active hands when the opposition penetrates the lane. Her activity and intensity result in turnovers and transition opportunities. When Colon gets the ball in the open court, it is scary because one of her strengths on offense is her playmaking going downhill. A talented scorer off the bounce, Colon uses her quick first step and tight ball-handling ability to create enough space to get off her shot. Every time I watch Colon, I am reeled in by her competitiveness and effort throughout the game, leaving me excited to watch her progression this summer.

Dexter has been a solid contributor for No Wasted Reps around the basket and on the glass. She reads the ball off the rim well and has a quick first jump that allows Dexter to dominate the offensive boards. Her vertical is unreal, and even though she might be undersized for the 4-5 spot, Dexter’s athletic ability and physicality help bang down low vs. larger opponents. Dexter has shown a soft touch around the basket and has been a reliable go-to option in the post. I like how she is attempting perimeter shots and trying to expand her game to the three-point line. As that part of her skill set develops, Dexter’s value will skyrocket.
