Nothing like finding players to add to the Top 100 or upgrading them if they’re already there but one more time, if I didn’t see it, it ain’t happen as far as what I do because it’s becoming more political and shadier yet I love the sun and these were among the players that shined in the Varsity Division from Rise Up’s All Eyes On She event and one more time, talent is everywhere
Ainsley Velasquez-6’0 (Hoop 10) 2022
Velasquez showed up and out at the Girls Got Game Individual Showcase, which put me on notice yet in a different setting, she was everything I saw and more. She’s a scorer, either off the dribble or the mid to long-range jumper, she creates either while being pressured yet I also love her poise under pressure, she knocks down shots in the clutch, she rebounds on both ends strongly, and came away with several putbacks but on top of all that, she handles the ball, she sees the floor and does a good job defensively
[player_tooltip player_id="202489" first="Brianna" last="Wilson"]-6’0 (Austin Elite Ice) 2022
Wilson showed me enough at the Duel States combine to be added to the Top 100 last season, it doesn’t take me a hunnid times to know what I’m looking at, 2 or 3 minutes usually does it and she showed me so much, so quickly that I just knew. Fast forward to now, she’s overpowering on the inside, her college-ready body can give or take punishment, and observing her score with players literally hanging on her speaks volumes about her strength. I guess her attacking the rim and knocking down the midrange wasn’t bad either as it becomes a plus for college coaches
Taylor Ross-6’0 PF (San Antonio Lady Hoops Silver/Black) 2024
Ross is long and athletic, she’s nowhere near what she’s going to be and that dear readers is scary because her potential is through the roof, why asks the novices, because I opened with long and athletic and what she adds, playing the passing lane, good timing to block, deflect and alter shots as well as running the floor and finishing acrobatically, after contact is just part of it. She does things INSTINCTIVELY which is something you can’t teach and observing her REACT on either end on the floor just tells me a lot, thank me later next level observers
[player_tooltip player_id="270662" first="Madison" last="Hurta"]-5’8 PG (Austin Elite Ice) 2024
Hurta has plenty of time left me to use "she put a HURTA on those nets" because this young lady here was added to the Top 100 after watching her shoot the ball in warmups, hey if I can call a player #D1Lock dribbling in street clothes, [player_tooltip player_id="135363" first="R’Mani" last="Taylor"], remember, there is no me yet I love how she just understands how to score in the flow, blink your eye and she has double digits on 4 shots, that long ball is smooth and accurate, in fact, she’s even done it with 3 shots, she shots and a free throw, 4 point play but her range is unlimited, so is her upside
Nmesoma Okola-6’1 PF (Phoenix) 2025
Okola was playing up with the older team and her coach told me I needed to see her, he was right and before I left, play on words, I knew she was in the mix to be added to the 2025 Watch List, which was solidified after her dominating performance with her own 2025 team this past weekend but I always tell people "it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against" that’s as simple as I can put it and her blending in against players, some heading into their senior year, and standing out just sold me. She too is long and athletic, she elevates on both ends and she’s going to create some problems in high school
