Being a great passer requires so much skill and patients. It about reading the defense and putting your teammate in a good position to score. Having a great passing guard who protects the ball can make or break your season. The state of Washington has some amazing passers, here are just a few.

Sheffey is a 5’9 Junior Guard from Woodinville Highschool, who is dishing out 6.2 assists a game to go along with scoring 9.8 points. She also has a season high of 11 rebounds and 4 steals. Game after game Sheffey fills the stat sheet by playing hard on both ends of the court. What stood out the most is her ability to make great passes with out turning the ball over. She plays with a high IQ and will find her open teammates. She does not settle for jump shots and finds ways to get to the rim. She is going to have a strong senior season next year.

Hassmann is a 5’8 Sophomore Guard from Tahoma Highschool, who is scroing24 points per game to go along with her 6 assists. She can pass just as well as she can score and she has shown that in just her sophomore season. Her season high this season is 29 points and 8 assists, she has been extremely consistent all season long. With her leadership on the court her team is now undefeated with her playing the captain role.

Zylak is 5’7 Senior Guard from Lewis & Clark Highschool, who averaged 5.5 assists and 14.2 points per game. She continued to fill the stat sheet all season adding 7.6 rebounds and 3.7 steals per game. She has a strong season leading her team to just 3 loses on the season. She has been a great captain to her team and showed it in the way she played hard every play.

Hampton is a 5’9 Junior Guard from Hudson’s Bay Highschool, who had a strong season scoring 15.4 points and 4.6 assist per game. Hampton is a player who is all over the court all the time, giving so much energy on both ends. Her hustle style of play helps her team in so many ways. After a slow start to the season her team has been undefeated after losing the first two games. With multiple games of scoring over 20 points and 8 assists she has had a great junior season. Her teammates feed off the energy she brings to the game and I see her having a even better senior season.
