Probably one of the most underrated players in the state of Iowa, Aaliyah simply rules this game. What I mean by that is; she is a flat out baller and displays an outstanding skillset. Her natural talent on the offensive end is incredible and is at a very high level. Her 3-point shot is simply amazing, her athleticism to finish the “woah” drive, and her pull-up off the bounce is well beyond the average incoming junior. This full package carries over to the defensive end as well. To be honest, there is not much more to say besides that this kid can pile up the scoreboard just as fast as you hold down the volume button up on a T.V. remote control.
Regan Rice Regan Rice 5'8" | SG Marion | 2023 State IA , 5’9, W, Marion, 2023
I am delighted to discuss another Marion player, as I was once a Marion hooper myself; and I’ve been loving the success they’ve been having in the program over the years. Regan is another kid that has great upside and is highly skilled. Her length is good, and she has a great wing span. Her natural ability is evident, and it’s clear to me she has a good overall game. I like her 3-point shot, her slashing capability to get to the rim and finish, and her athleticism to get up and down the floor in transition. Her ambition on the defensive end results in many steals, tips, and deflections with her size and athleticism. Will be putting up much higher numbers the next two seasons, as she has the talent to do so.

Maddie Brown Maddie Brown 5'7" | SF Valley | 2023 State IA , 5’8, W, WDM Valley, 2023
Maddie is another kid with great potential who I see evolving into a solid college player. Her versatility to play several positions on the floor makes her an elite prospect. What I first noticed about her was her “never back down” and aggressive mentality. She is a fierce competitor and that is very obvious. Her offensive skills are at an all time high as she has the ability to stroke the 3 ball, drive to the basket and finish, and can also get some buckets inside as a post player. With her strength, the possibilities are endless on both ends of the floor. Her rebounding is phenomenal and her capability to get some steals sums up her passion and competitive mindset. She runs the floor well and can get herself some easy buckets as well.

Emma Miner Emma Miner 5'10" | SF Dallas Center-Grimes | 2023 State IA , 5’11, F, Dallas Center-Grimes, 2023
Emma is a huge presence on both ends of the floor and causes torrential harm as an offensive player both behind the 3-point line and in the paint. I absolutely love her 3-point shot, as she can notch them up there like there is no tomorrow; and does it with pure consistency as she let it fly out there with a 49% stat line in that category this recent high school season. A lot of her damage was done shooting the ball, however, she can also score in the paint as can use her 5’11 height frame to her advantage. Her strength and aggression is top notch as well. She runs the floor well and can get some easy bunnies on the run too. She can also rebound the ball tremendously, as well as dish some assists out to fellow teammates. Her athletic ability to get steals makes her a total, high threat player. I like her upside and I think she will be elevating her stock soon.

Julia Moore Julia Moore 5'5" | PG Dowling Catholic | 2023 State IA , 5’5, G, Dowling Catholic, 2023
This lefty guard is a quick jet with a good feel for the game. What I liked right from the get go about her was ability to blow out the stat sheet. She can put up the points with a great 3-point shot, an ability to get to the rim, can get into passing lanes and pick off steals on the fastbreak, etc. She also can be a serious force on the boards and tally up the rebounds on a consistent basis, which is a rarity of a kid that is 5’5. Her quick hands and feet make her a phenomenal overall player. I like her handle, and I think she has the capability of putting up bigger scoring numbers by breaking down defenders and finishing at the rim. Another player with great upside.
