Regan Rice Regan Rice 5'8" | SG Marion | 2023 State IA put together a nice senior season for the Marion Wolverines before heading off to college and lacing up for the Grandview Vikings out of Des Moines. Rice is a quick shooting guard with a nice first step. She can handle it a good amount but excels at shooting the ball with the ability to hear up quick. She knows how to get to her spots and move quickly to the open area so that she can get a nice look at the basket. Throughout the season she seemed to get more and more comfortable each game attacking the hoop and being aggressive, a talent that I’m sure her next coach is going to want at the college level this winter. Looking forward Rice can be a good contributor for the Vikings if she stays dedicated and keeps working, something I’m sure will keep occurring.

Regan Rice Regan Rice 5'8" | SG Marion | 2023 State IA played the top of her high school’s zone last season, trying to read the opponent for an easy tip and lay up down at the other end in transition. It definitely payed off as Rice displayed great timing on opponents passes and becane a huge defensive “X” factor for the Marion Wolves. This just scratches the surface on what she does for her team as an overall player. She is a coordinated athlete with a high motor and good skill on the ball. She can handle, shoot, and defend the 1-3 position on a high school floor because of her length. When I watched her play last time I noticed she does a great job of finding the opens spot on the floor and going to it, wether it be on offense or defense. She isn’t selfish as she makes good choices and gets her teammates involved if the defense over-helps. This winter she will join back with her Wolves team for one more year along side of star power forward Ella Bockenstedt Ella Bockenstedt 6'0" | PF Marion | 2023 State IA . If the two can pick up where they left off last year, they will have a good season ending at the state tournament.
