The Ozone AAU program has been having a very strong Spring AAU season. Here we look at some of the players you should know.
[player_tooltip player_id="270726" first="Ava" last="Orlando"], Ozone, Clas 20205, Position PG, HT 5’4
Ava is a true point guard who is a good scorer. Ava gets to the basket off the dribble well, with her ball fakes, in and out and crossover. Ava is very quick and ls good out in the transition. When there is a defensive rebound Ava is looking to push the ball up the floor off the rebound. Ava has led her AAU team in scoring multiple times, and was named the player of the game for a gym rat tournament game with 17 points. Ava does a good job scoring over bigger defenders. Ava plays up a grade for AAU, and that should help her for when she moves into the high school scene. Ava will be a name you will here over the next coming years.
[player_tooltip player_id="184034" first="Chloe" last="Bindon"], Ozone, Position G, Class 2023,
Chloe is a very quick and athletic guard. Chloe has a very good shot, and shoots at a high volume. Chloe has a high basketball IQ. Chloe moves well without the ball, and with a purpose. Chloe rebounds the ball well for a guard. Chloe is a very good on ball defender, and moves her feet well, with her solid defensive stance. Chloe has really been a stock riser this spring, and I think her game could fit well at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="266808" first="Hailey" last="Bassett"], Ozone, Class 2024, HT 5’10 position F
Hailey is a really good all around player. Hailey is on the watch list for the rankings, and I expect her to keep moving up. Hailey is a tough player, who can stretch the floor, and also be the paint protector. Hailey makes good reads in the paint. Hailey is Physical, And plays hard on both ends of the floor. On defense Hailey always has her hands up. I always say hand down man down, and that is never the case with Hailey. Even when she does not block the shot, she is always altering and effecting the shot with her long reach. Hailey is a solid versatile player who I think can move up in the rankings.
[player_tooltip player_id="266802" first="Hana" last="Skeary"], Ozone, Dover, Postion PG, Class 2023
Hana is very sharp shooter. She has a nice high arcing shot, so even though she isn’t the biggest player on the court, she can get every shot over the defenders. Hana can shoot from anywhere, and has unlimited range. Hana can spot up well, and shoot of a cut, or a screen. Hana is a very high energy player, and plays hard with a motor that never shuts off. Hana was a TVL league all star this past high school season. Hana is another player I think will keep moving up in the rankings.
