Girls who turned it up a notch, becoming key factors in their team’s success. These girls displayed heart, integrity, the ability to lead, put the ball in the hoop, make timely passes, play lockdown defense, and of course lead their teams to victory. These young ladies have stepped up to fill holes that were left by outgoing seniors from the previous year. It’s their turn now and these girls are ready to step into the limelight.
Jada Anthony Jada Anthony 5'6" | CG Cane Ridge | 2022 State TN (5’6/CG/Cane Ridge/ 2022)- After playing limited games (6 regular-season games plus districts) due to the pandemic, Jada made a name for herself in a shortened season. This shifty combo guard helped lead her Cane Ridge ball club to new heights. Her uncanny ability to score the rock and make sensational passes patterns her game similar to Allen Iverson. She has a quick first step that allows her to pull up in the mid-range area. She has a knack for being around the ball on the defensive end, which helps her club towards getting easy buckets. Jada will be looking to build upon her early success with a full body of work her senior season.
Madi Hawk Madi Hawk 5'10" | SG Jefferson Co. | 2024 State TN (5’8/SG/ LakewayChristian Academy/ 2024)– After getting early playing time that saw a club go deep into the playoffs, Madi steps into a scoring role that will hopefully elevate her club towards state contention. Madi is a sharpshooter who can pull it from all three levels. Her forte is behind the arc, yet she has the ability to get to the hoop. She has taken major strides over throughout the offseason. Look for her to be locked and ready to be one of the scoring threats for her high school team.
Kaelyn Flowers Kaelyn Flowers 5'6" | PG Blackman | 2024 State TN (5’6/PG/ Blackman/ 2024)– Has big shoes to fill with the graduation of both Victoria Page Victoria Page 5'8" | CG Blackman | 2021 State TN and Iyanna Moore. This Flower right here is ready to carve out her own path to lead these Lady Blaze back to the state. Kayelyn is dynamic with the ball in her hands. She sees the floor well, possesses great ball-handling capabilities, and can get to the hoop with ease. She is a hustler on both ends of the floor, where she gets deflections that lead to transition buckets going the other way. Look for her to add a few moves to her arsenal to equip her with more scoring opportunities. The Lady Blaze program is in good hands with this up-and-coming floor general.
Aloona Poole (5’10/CG/Stewart’s Creek/ 2024)– Ready to step up and help carry the scoring load, Aloona is ready to be that X factor. This summer she has done nothing but stay in the gym, attending camps, workouts, and in the weight room. Aloona has developed an uncanny ability to get to the hoop. She is quick, can handle the rock, and shoot it well from multiple levels. She is long, therefore playing defense creates extra opportunities for her to create havoc. This girl right here is ready to become the next anchor in the Stewart’s Creek attack.
Jailyn Banks Jailyn Banks 5'7" | CG MTCS | 2023 State TN (5’7/CG/MTCS/ 2023)– After coming off an injury and sitting out last year, JB is ready to hoop. This combo guard is a bucket and will add an extra kind of sauce to the MTCS Lady Cougars scoring ability. Jailyn can get to the cup, shoot it from deep, and unleash a nice mid-range game. She has great read and react ability, which enables her to create havoc on the defensive end. She is a hustler who is ready to be turned loose for the upcoming season.
Atyia Moss Atyia Moss 5'8" | PG Clarksville Academy | 2023 State TN (5’8/PG/ Clarksville Academy/2023)– With the graduation of Diamond Bryant Diamond Bryant 5'6" | PG Clarksville Academy | 2021 State TN , Atiya steps into the leadership role and the primary scorer for her CA team. This girl plays the game with poise, yet is always looking to strike. She has the ability to score at multiple levels. She sees the floor well, which enables her to get her teammates involved early and often. Atiya plays tenacious defense, which leads to easy buckets going the other way. This will be a big year for her and she is ready to take on the challenge.
Briah Hampton Briah Hampton 6'1" | SF Memphis East | 2022 State TN (6’1/SF/ Memphis East/ 2022)– After not playing last high school season due to the pandemic, Briah is ready to continue where she left off the previous year. This young lady is a gazelle with the ball in her hands. She can do it all for her club. With great size, she can control the boards on both ends of the floor. Offensively, she is a beast when she attacks downhill. She can shoot it from the arc, the mid-range area, or play either with her back to the basket or face up around the block. Defensively, she can deter shots from going in. Look for her to build upon her success from the previous year.
Syler Falcon Syler Falcon 6'1" | C Bradley Central | 2022 State TN (6’1/C/Bradley Central/ 2022)– Coming off an injury, she is healthy and ready to make a big impact for the Lady Bearettes. Coaches have been raving about how good she looks and she is ready to do work on opponents. Syler is a beast both on the offensive and defensive end. She doesn’t only control the boards, she creates match-up problems both ways. She is a walking double-double looking to be the X factor for her team’s success this upcoming year. Look for her to add some accolades this upcoming year as her team competes for state title contention.
