. As a PG that doesn’t prioritize scoring, her surpassing the 1,000 mark is really a nice accomplishment. She’s a top tier PG that plays the game the right way. She’s as good a PG as their is in the state, and we wanted to say congrats kiddo: 1,000 career points is a milestone worth celebrating!

Flower is maybe the most electric guard in Nashville as a FGCU signee. She can get to the rim at will, she’s a nightmare in transition, and her changes of speeds and directions are insane. A really nice mixture of scorer, distributor and leader. Fantastic HS player if you haven’t gotten the chance to go watch her play. Terrific defender as well! Great 2 way player.

I wanted to include the FGCU signee just to compare. Flowers plays on a loaded team, and only averages 11.8 pts on 50% shooting. She only shot 16% from 3pt last year, so her game is pretty simple–setup your teammates and hit open jumpers when they find you. She hit 57 FTs last year which is ok, but not a great number. Her primary role was to knock down open jumper or attack a gap. Nothing complicated or star studded. And she’ll be playing D1 in the Fall. Not everyone’s basketball stories look the same!

The FGCU commit is a perhaps the best of these players–but you have to see it to understand it. Her stats aren’t eye popping (11 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists). But, if you watch her play, you see she’s playing at a level most of her peers just aren’t at.

Flowers (Blackman) recently announced her commitment to FGCU. Flowers is as electric a ’24 guard as you will watch this season. Possessing lighting quickness, and elite change of speeds, Flowers is a high level playmaker. Flowers won a TON of games at Blackman, and is a terrific 2 way guard. If you get a chance to watch her, do it.

Flowers is absolutely high-level PG, and one of the best guards in her class. Smart with the ball in her hands, tight handles, she’s looking to get downhill and attack. A multi-level scoring threat, she can shoot that ball like it’s nobody’s business. She has a high basketball IQ, where she makes the right plays at the right time. She’s selfless, looking for teammates before getting her own buckets. She’s tough on the defensive end, a nuisance at that. The Florida Gulf Coast commit will look to lead her team back to state contention. Ultra competitive kid.
