In the class of 2024, we have some studs in this class, they are skilled, they have size and they are athletic, but the thing I like about them most is that they are all humble kids. I had a big group of 2024 come out to my camp earlier in this year and I have to say, they were the best bunch of kids I have worked with in a long time. They were there and wanted to learn, that is big in my book, so here we go, we took the 2024 rankings from 44 to 52 names this session, hope you enjoy the articles. 2024, PG/SG, South Pasadena HS, [player_tooltip player_id="309568" first="Dylan" last="Tse"] – Dylan is the other half of that underclassmen dynamic duo, she is just as skilled and also a definite threat to score the ball. These two play off of each other and make plays for their team all of the time on the floor. Most coaches would probably let these two get thier buckets and allow the other role players to beat them. They combined for about 39 points in an earlier game, but could not pull off the upset in this contest.
2024, 5’8, CG, Alemany HS, [player_tooltip player_id="309569" first="Bryanne" last="Lopez-Wood"] – Finished the game with a team high of 12 points on the night, she fought hard as she could to keep her team in it, but Mater Dei Catholic had too many scoring threats on the floor and it proved to be the warriors downfall. Bryanne is crafty and a hardnosed player, she can get to the rim, she rebounded and could run the floor, she kept the team close, but it was a tough night for this group.
2024, SF, 5’10, Mary Star of the Sea (San Pedro), [player_tooltip player_id="309570" first="Madison" last="Watts"] – With the 8 games in the playoffs, [player_tooltip player_id="309570" first="Madison" last="Watts"] has averaged 22.3 points and 10.7 rebounds to boot in this contest. She put on a great performance in the Regional Semi-Final game against Westchester with 33 points and 14 rebounds. Then she followed it up in the Regional final with a performance of 24 points in the win versus Agoura to seals the Championship in the 4AA Regional Finals.
2024, 5’5, PG, Westview HS (San Diego), [player_tooltip player_id="309572" first="Kira" last="Carter"] - The forward guard-forward combo appeared to have great chemistry on the court, often igniting the team runs. Carter can knock down the three-ball, she has a nice handle and does a great job of communicating with her teammates on the court. For a guard, her ability to consistently grab rebounds is impressive. On the defensive end of the floor, Carter appeared to be in the right place at the right time. Her rotation on and off the ball was seamless.
