Nariah Clay 5’8 Canton: The 2023 guard was one of the top two-way performers that I watched. She was a ball-hawk on defense with a number of steals and deflections. Very disruptive. She stayed in attack mode on offense with driving layups mixed in with a number of 3-pointers.
Mallorie Fick 5’7 Blair Oaks: The 2022 guard was one of the top perimeter shooters at the showcase. When she got it going, she was knocking shots down from well beyond the 3-point line. Deep. She also has some nice moves off the dribble to get to the basket, including a heck of a spin move in the lane.
Regan Shaffer Regan Shaffer SG Leeton | 2022 State MO 5’8 Leeton: A very versatile 2022 guard-forward who can really handle herself in the low post with her strength and variety of moves and good footwork. She also plays with pace as she can push the issue and attack the basket with success. She has a good pull up jumper. She was also very active on the defensive end.
Nadiah Thames 5’7 STEAM Academy At McCluer South Berkeley: An athletic guard who made good use of her speed in the open court. She has a quick first step to the basket and a nice pull up jumper to compliment her driving. She can also impact the game on the defensive end with her ability to play the passing lanes.
Hannah Broniec 5’7 Montgomery County: The 2023 guard is an excellent penetrator who can get into the lane and score in traffic. She is very adept at getting buckets with both hands.
Riley Hoppers 5’7 Osceola: A 2023 guard who did a nice job as a facilitator with her passing skills. She was also a good rebounder from the guard position who also made a lot of good hustle plays for her team.
Sydney Spielbauer 6’1 Fayette: A solid 2022 forward with good post up skills in the paint and a nice touch around the basket. Her mobility was good and she can step out and hit 3-pointers to stretch the floor.
