Each player that I discuss gave it their all every minute that they were on the court. This division was super fun to cover and I hope to run into these players again throughout the rest of July.
2023 5-11 SG #11 Mia Galbrath (AD Elite Peterson)
Galbrath is the definition of tough. She took probably the hardest foul I saw all tournament and immediately shook it off and hopped up to knock down her free throws. If you leave her any room, she will knock down either the mid-range jumper or three-ball. Hustles back to get into position of defense and has the ability to handle the ball in necessary situations.
2023 5-5 PG #15 Jaime Ruede (AD Elite Peterson)
The other team had a tough time stopping Ruede during the game I sat in on. She has solid handles and will get the ball to the teammate that has the best look at the basket. Can hit the three-ball and has a good basketball IQ. Big-time encourager for her team.
2023 6-0 SG #20 Taleiyah Gibbs (AD Elite Peterson)
Taleiyah Gibbs is a six-footer that has a lot of skills and potential to grow her game even more in the next couple of years. She works hard down low but can also knock down the pull-up jumper and three when left open. A versatile player with a lot of energy that can guard multiple positions on the court.
2024 5-7 SG #24 Audrey Cline ( DC Queens Black 2024)
Cline is a shooter that can spot up from just about anywhere on the floor. She wants to get to the basket any way that she can, draw the foul and sink her free throws. Brings the energy on the defensive end and has the ability to stay with all of the players on the floor. Tough player to guard but a great asset for her team.
2024 5-7 PG #32 Ashley Singhateh (Arkansas Banshees Sadler)
Ashley is a spark plug for her team when she comes off of the bench. I would go as far as to say that she was the best 6-man that I saw in the tournament. She is a player that you cannot keep your eyes off of due to her flying around the floor constantly. Will drive hard with either hand and finish softly around the rim. Super exciting player to watch. Keep her name on your radar!
